HARRY KALABA CALLS FOR DISMISSAL OF INSPECTOR GENERAL OF POLICE

Citizens First Party Leader Harry Kalaba is urging President Hakainde Hichilema to remove Inspector General of Police Graphael Musamba from his position, in order to allow for professionalism and depoliticize the service.
Reacting to Mr. Musamba`s revelation that the Zambia Police would start firing ‘junkie’ policemen who were recruited by the Patriotic Front, Mr. Kalaba wonders what criteria will be used to determine which police officers are politically incorrect just because they were recruited by the former regime.
Mr. Kalaba feels the step being taken by the Zambia Police under Mr. Musamba is against President Hakainde Hichilema`s position who strongly condemned politicizing of the civil service especially the men and women in uniform when he was in opposition.
The opposition leader has reminded Mr. Musamba that one of the 2021 campaign promises by President
Hichilema was to review all cases of civil servants including those from the defence and security wings who were perceived to have been fired on political, ethnic and tribal lines.
Meanwhile, the Socialist Party is disappointed with Mr. Musamba over his intentions to fire several police officers deemed to loyal to the previous administration.
Party Media Director Brian Hapunda has reminded Mr. Musamba that he is a seasoned officer who has served under different regimes adding that police officers are civil servants that must be loyal to the government of the day.
The Inspector General of Police recently disclosed that the Zambia Police Service Command has embarked on a vigorous exercise of flashing out of its system ‘politically inclined who were recruited in the previous regime and have refused to reform and align themselves to the code of ethics.

Rupiah Banda ADC gets back his job, thanks to Bally
The aide de camp (ADC) of former President late Rupiah Banda has been given back his job years after being chased by the PF government in 2011.
Steven Mayoko was sacked by the PF government and denied benefits after he refused to abandon RB and testify against him.
Mayoko has now been given back his job and he will be deputy commanding officer for Muchinga Province.
The PF government wanted Mayoko to implicate RB in corruption cases after his immunity was lifted by PF but he refused and chose to be loyal to the former President.
Mayoko was the longest serving bodyguard of RB who was always standing behind him from the time he was Vice President.
Sadly, George Lungu, another of RB aide de camp who was fired together with Mayoko, died of depression and never paid his benefits by PF.
And the former police commissioner for Northwestern Province Auxiious Daka who was fired by PF for allowing President Hakainde Hichilema to campaign in the area has also been given back his job and will work at headquarters.
And current ADC of President Hakainde who was also fired by PF for arresting PF cadres in Sesheke has been promoted to the rank of deputy commissioner of police.
It pays to be professional
Kalaba you did not call for any resignation of an idiot who ordered the police to chase you around Bahati and other areas. You knew deep down you faint heart that if you did, you were going to wait for HH to release you, that is if you were not going to die in police cells or jail under the brutal regime of someone you thought was your friend. STUPID IDIOT.

I salute the I.G. let him bring back discipline and integrity into the police..your stooges Kalaba will be weeded out.
IG Musamba should actuall speed up overhauling the Police Service by removing PF thugs who were just given police uniforms and guns, and instructions to brutalise, maime and murder citizens, especially UPND supporters.These thugs are still in the Police Service today and still displaying unprofessional behaviour and thuggery. This exercise shouldn’t be a challenge at all. IG Musamba should just scrutinise all those who were brought into the Service from 2011 to about July 2021. Check their academic records at time of entry into the Service, where they were brought in and where they were trained.We need a professional and well desciplined police service . All junkies should be flushed out and be investigated for criminality.
