NEWLY TRANSFERED POLICE OFFICER FOUND DEAD AT HIS PLACE OF RESIDENCE IN KAFUE

A Police Officer based at Kafue Police Station was this morning found dead in his room at Kafue Railway Motel.
An Impeccable Source told Kafue Times that the deceased who has been identified by fellow Police Officers as Timmy Mvula, an Administrative Inspector for Kafue Police Station was recently transferred from Siavonga to Kafue Police Station.
The source disclosed that Mvula was staying at the said Lodge in Kafue as he had not yet moved with his family from Siavonga.
“Some workers at Kafue Railway Motel were going round the rooms after 10:00hours to check if customers had checked out so that the rooms could be cleaned. Upon checking room one they noticed that the customer was still inside because the door was locked from inside.They tried to knock at the door but the customer couldn’t respond. This prompted them to peep through the window and they saw the client lying on the bed without any movements. They reported to the owner of the Motel who later reported to the police” said the source.
A scenes of crime officer visited the lodge and inspected the body of Mvula which was found with no physical injury.
The source added that Mvula worked in Kafue for only a week and was last seen at work on Thursday, 26th January 2023.
The body of Mvula has since been deposited into the Kafue General hospital Mortuary awaiting post mortem and burial.
Efforts to get a comment from Kafue Police Station Officer In-Charge, Rodgers Chiwila proved futile by Press Time.
