POLICE LAUNCH MANHUNT FOR EFF LEADER KASONDE MWENDA
The Zambia Police Service has launched a manhunt for opposition Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) President Kasonde Mwenda.
Zambia Police Deputy Spokesperson Danny Mwale says Mr. Mwenda disappeared during the protest which various opposition groups held from the Lusaka Civic Center to the Lusaka Central Police.
Mr. Mwale says Police are looking for him as he is the one who notified them ahead of the protest.
Yesterday, Police arrested 23 people who took part in the protest for unlawful assembly.
The 23, who include four women, are in Police custody and will appear in court soon.
