LUNGU TELLS KASEBA, DIPLOMATS TO HELP IN PF CAMPAIGNS

By Kamuti Muyambela

President Edgar Lungu has given a thumbs up to Dr Christine Kaseba-Sata and other Zambian Ambassadors and diplomats to go on leave in order to help with the PF campaigns.

Well placed sources have told Daily Revelation, that the President has given a node to diplomats who could impact the campaigns to go on leave.

“It’s not just those bene Emmanuel Mwamba and Anthony Mukwita (Zambians Ambassadors to Ethiopia and German respectively) you have seen in the media, its a huge number which include bene Judith Kapijimpanga (High Commissioner to India) and big people like the Ambassador to France Christine Kaseba, and many other diplomats the party feels will have an impact on the campaigns,” the sources said. “Expect Dr Kaseba for instance to be heavily involved especially in the vice-presidential team.”

Ambassadors and diplomats, though being mostly political appointees, are assumed to be civil servants who are expected not to take part in partisan campaigns.

“It usually happens that these Ambassadors usually take leave during campaign periods to help in campaigning for the party which appointed them into their positions,” sources said.
