STATE REJECTS LUNGU’S PLEA TO REINSTATE HIS BENEFITS

The state has rejected the plea by former republican President Edgar Lungu to have his benefits reinstated following his public announcement that he has come back into active politics.
Attorney General Mulilo Kabesha has cited section 5 (1) of the benefits of former presidents’ act chapter 15 of the laws of Zambia, which prohibits the payment of benefits to a former president who is engaged in active politics.
Recently, the former President through his lawyer, Likanda Kalaluka, wrote to the attorney general demanding the state to accord him the full compliments of the benefits that he is entitled to which includes a fully functional office and vehicles among other benefits.
Mr. Kalaluka described the state decision as a violation of their client’s freedom of expression, association and assembly for indicating an intention to hold an elective office.
On November 1st, 2023, the state removed Mr. Lungu from his payroll, closed his office with immediate effect, redeployed all his staff, removed security, accommodation, transport and other requirements.
Double Tobela Lungu! How did we end up with him as President? Umungulu, just following the noise.
Was it not the same Edgar Lungu who called the benefits CRUMBS? The man literally spat on these benefits and said, ” To hell with such crumbs “. How can he now turn around and claim the same crumbs? This man is diabolical.
Edgar Lungu has not mellowed with education, age, religious belief, and political experience. Yes, he insultingly described the presidential retirement benefits package as crumbs. Why’s he looking for crumbs from the state? Not that this kind of behaviour will bring embarrassment to the PF; they’ll actually celebrate it. Clearly education and religious belief have nothing to do with character.

What kind of an idiot was this, is this idiot as a lawyer who cannot understand what is clearly stated in law? How can a normal person want to be eating with both hands? Can you have your cake and eat it?
This idiot is irritating and annoying to say the least. As to how we ended up having an idiot as an illegal president, the answer lies squarely in pangas, Chavula in the server at Mulungushi, Chulu and all the idiots who became ministers illegally and went on to illegally stay in office after dissolution of parliament. STUPID IDIOTS who looted, plundered, stole, gassed and murdered.
And must surely pay for every evil act. Thunder fire them, fire their generation and their unborn idiotic generations.

And why’s Chavula not being prosecuted? I think the UPND are being too charitable. The evidence was in plain sight; Priscilla Isaac was there, Marthur Mushipe was there, Chulu was there, pictures were taken.
How can a lawyer ask for benefits when he knows ECL is back in the game?
PFs corruption finally gave Bally a shot at the helm. But this deteriorating economy makes his future bleak. With no other formidable opponents, Chagwa may just get another shot at the helm.
