GOVERNMENT REAFFIRMS COMMITMENT TO DIALOGUE WITH CHURCH, DISMISSES FALSE CLERGY SUMMONS REPORTS
Government wishes to state that No Clergy has been or will be summoned by the Police unless such a Clergy commits an offense in his or her individual capacity. In such cases, the law will be applied accordingly.
Government does have established channels through which it engages the Church whenever matters arise, primarily through Dialogue.
This has ably been demonstrated by the open-door policy His Excellency the President Mr. Hakainde Hichilema has espoused by holding dialogue meetings and consultations with the Church at State House.
The New Dawn Administration is not like the previous Government that arrested, violated and set cadres on the Clergy whenever they felt uncomfortable with the sentiments of the Church.
The Nation will do well to recall how a Catholic Priest in Eastern Province, Fr. Banyangadora was arrested, bundled and later deported including the likes of Seer 1 whom they too deported after revealing their “deal” of “do as I say” by the previous Government.
This they did to many local Clergy and international Clergy domiciled in Zambia too many to mention on too many occasions.
The New Dawn Administration cherishes the ideal of dialogue and meaningful engagement with various stakeholders that include the Church over National Matters.
The Nation and the Church are therefore advised to ignore the purported police call out circulating on various social media.

House of liars.
It must be something they get fed as children wherever they come from that makes them liars.
Preaching the word of God is good.But when one diverts deliberately to incite or to make congregants get excited with a talk which stimulates some hate or dislike of people or institution or any organization or system is bad.Stimulating negativity, over exaggerating situations in church of Christ is not good because people who may want to visit the house of worship may get discouraged.A church is a holy place different from a market place where careless talking is tolerated.In the name of democracy,freedom of speech some clergy were arrested in Rwanda after their sensational talks got related to reaction of people in the genocide.Let us preach with cautiousness for you are dealing with people of different views and thinking
Some may be over sensitized and do wrong things in society and then land themselves in trouble.
This deceptive regime is too much
