ZIMBABWEAN GOVERNMENT SUSPENDS ZEBRA KISS BUSES AFTER ROAD RAGE ACCIDENT
Zebra Kiss buses have been suspended following a road accident involving two speeding drivers.
Social media was awash with a viral video in which a Zebra Kiss Bus was seeing speeding with another bus, resulting in a terrible accident which claimed one life, and left many injured.
Newsday Zimbabwe, an online media has has confirmed the grounding of the buses after the incident.
People have however expressed mixed feelings over the decision to suspend the bus company over one driver’s carelessness.
Others feel the suspension is too harsh considering the scarcity of transport services in Zimbabwe, coupled with an ailing economy.
“That was not a good move by our government. They should have cancelled the driver’s licences of the two drivers involved. We do not have sufficient transport in our country. What will happen to those using that route who relied on those buses. I stand to be corrected if I’m wrong. But I think the move was not that good” wrote Christopher Madzeke.
