15-Year-Old Stabs Classmate to Death Over Girlfriend in Shocking Love Triangle Drama
A 15-year-old boy stabbed his classmate to death with a kitchen knife over a girlfriend dispute in Mwenezi.
The incident happened near Masongwe Secondary School around 3 pm on 18 June 2023, according to a tweet by the ZRP today.
The victim, whose name was not released, was gored on the shoulder and head and died instantly.
Police Speak As 15-Year-Old Stabs Classmate Over A Girl
The ZRP said the suspect and the victim had an argument over the suspect’s girlfriend, who is also a student at the same school.
“Police in Mwenezi are investigating a case of murder in which a male juvenile (15) stabbed another juvenile (15) with a kitchen knife on the shoulder and head after an argument over the suspect’s girlfriend on 18/07/23 near Masongwe Secondary School. The victim died on the spot.”
Crimes involving love triangles have been rampant in Zimbabwe of late.
Fatal Love Triangle Dramas
In April, an 18-year-old Kuwadzana girl, Leanda Mupfumira, got into a fight with two boys he was dating simultaneously after she had been caught cheating.
She then engaged in a fierce argument with one of her boyfriends, degenerating into a physical altercation. Leanda picked up a half brick, intending to hurl it at her supposed fiance.
Leanda mightily threw the brick, and it missed her boyfriend and smashed a 23-year-old bystander, Tawanda Nigel Ziumbe, who was just there to watch all the drama.
After the half brick struck him, Nigel staggered and fell into a nearby drain, badly injuring himself. He sadly died at a local hospital after he was admitted.
