ACC SEIZES VEHICLE, PROPERTIES FROM YO MAPS
The Anti-Corruption Commission wishes to confirm that it has seized a motor vehicle Toyota Landcruiser VX, registration number BLC 2179 which was in the custody of a
renowned Zambian musician Eiton Mulenga aka Yo Maps.
The seizure relates to investigations that the Commission is conducting relating to possession of property suspected to be proceeds of crime.
The suspects are alleged to have acquired several properties including the said motor vehicle which was in Yo Maps’s custody but registered in another person’s name.
The Commission has since seized the vehicle and restricted other properties as they are deemed to be proceeds of crime.
The public is advised that Yo Maps is not a subject
of these investigations.
The Commission will ensure that it continues to carry out its mandate with objectivity,
regardless of the social and political status or religious affliation of individuals involved in investigations.
Investigations in this matter are ongoing.
