GOVERNMENT HOPES TO RECRUIT 30,000 TEACHERS BEFORE END OF TERM TWO
The Ministry of Education says the Teaching Service Commission will soon give guidelines for the recruitment of 30, 000 teachers once cabinet gives a go ahead.
Ministry Permanent Secretary Technical Services Joe Kamoko is confident the recruitment of the teachers will be done before end of term two.
Speaking to Hot FM News, Mr. Kamoko said the recruitment of the 30, 000 teachers will help address the challenge of the high pupil teacher ratio in schools.
And Mr Kamoko said the Ministry working with other key stakeholders will soon be coming up with additional measures to create more space to support the provision of desks and texts books.
