PRESIDENT LUNGU UNVEILS PROFESSOR NKANDU LUO AS RUNNING MATE
…as he successfully files in his nomination to contest the August 12 general elections
President Edgar Lungu has unveiled professor Nkandu Luo as his running mate ahead of the August 12 general elections.
This came to light today when the head of state successfully filed in his nomination to contest this year’s elections.
Speculation,anxiety and uncertainty have all been quenched with the announcement which many stakeholders have since welcomed.
And speaking after he filled in his nomination, President Lungu said he is happy with the choice of his running mate because not only is professor Luo an accomplished woman, but a strong and solid person.
The head of state who also thanked Republican Vice President Madam Inonge Wina for strongly being there for him, said he sought God’s guidance to arrive at his choice of running mate.
Meanwhile, the head of state has called for the preservation of peace and unity as the campaign period intensifies.
He called for the rule of law to prevail and assured that there is still a government in place to ensure that the country remains peaceful.
