AMOS CHANDA , HIS WIFE AND SISTER IN LAW FOUND WITH CASE TO ANSWER
Former Special Assistant to the President for Press and Public Relations Amos Chanda, his wife Mable Chanda and sister-in-law Ruth Nakaundi have been found with a case on all three (3) counts of using insulting language and obstruction.
This is a case in which Chanda has been charged with One Count of Using Insulting Language contrary to Section 179 of Chapter 87 of the Laws of Zambia, and One Count of Obstruction Contrary to Section 63 (c) of the Anti-Corruption Act No. 3 of 2012 . Meanwhile, Mrs. Chanda and Miss Nakaundi are jointly charged with One Count of using Insulting Language and one Count of Obstruction.
In a ruling today, Honourable Dominic Makalicha established a prima facie case against the trio and put them on their defence following compelling evidence submitted before the courts by the State.
The matter has been adjourned to 25th April 2022 for commencement of defence.
