ANDYFORD BANDA WANTS PRESIDENT HICHILEMA TO ROOT OUT CORRUPTION AT MINISTRY OF HEALTH
Opposition People’s Alliance for Change President Andyford Banda is appealing to President Hakainde Hichilema to urgently root out the corruption in the ministry of health before the country slides into a serious health crisis.
Mr Banda says it is unacceptable that from government to government, the ministry of health becomes the centre of controversy and scandals which have led to degeneration in the delivery of services to the people.
He tells Phoenix News that the head of state working together with the ministry of health must introduce reforms that will help to address the rot especially in the supply chain of medicines.
Further, Mr Banda is of the view that failure to address the problems the ministry of health is facing will negatively affect the country’s aspirations of achieving universal health coverage for all.
