BAMPI KAPALASA TO CONTEST AS INDEPENDENT AS HE PLEDGES LOYALTY AND SUPPORT TO THE UPND PRESIDENT.
Outgoing UPND Member of parliament for Katuba Constituency Hon Bampi Kapalasa has told this publication that he is going to contest as independent. Hon Kapalasa has thanked the UPND president and all the leaders for an opportunity rendered to him to serve the people of Katuba and has welcomed the decision not to adopt him saying the process was not fair not just to him but to all the parliamentary candidates and hence he wishes to go as independent.
UPND Chairperson for elections Hon Gary Nkombo announced a Mr Mwabashike Nkulukusa as the new torch bearer for UPND in Katuba Constituency in the forthcoming general elections slated for 12th August this year.
Hon Kapalasa said that people misunderstood him and got a wrong side of his point saying that he has never been a media fanatics but works on the ground in Katuba can tell for themselves. He said that the construction of roads, a clinic and mother’s shelter in Mungule ward, boreholes he has doted around the Constituency and so many charitable works he has done have never been documented to show the country but people focused much on his misunderstandings.
“We will meet on the ground Commander Bally is the key and I will support him and campaign for him” He told CIC.
CIC has been invited to cover many developmental projects he has been constructing and other things which shall start running in Documentary format soon.
