BERRY Lwando has been appointed as the new Director General of the Zambia National Broadcasting Corporation,- ZNBC.
Others appointed are Ngenda Kamayoyo as Director Programmes, Maxwell Phiri as Director Human Resource and Administration and Matilda Nsemani as Director Finance.
Lwando returns to the institution having previously served as Director Programmes between 2012 and 2014 as well as Director Digital Terrestrial Television in 2015.
Speaking during the unveiling of the new directors, ZNBC Board Chairperson Jack Kalala appealed to management and staff to accord Lwando and his team all the support as the corporation carries out its mandate.
Kalala has also commended the management committee for ensuring that the institution continues to run while operational obligations were met in a timely manner.
He has also implored management to continue with the same commitment to help the new directors to settle in quickly.
Meanwhile, Lwando has thanked the board for believing in him and the new directors appointed.
He said his team will depend on the experience of management because they have been with the institution long enough and will make adaptation easy.
