BOWMAN LUSAMBO, FOUR OTHER PF MPs SUSPENDED FROM THE NATIONAL ASSEMBLY TO JOIN THE OTHER SUSPENDED 30 PF MPs.

Kabushi Member of parliament Bowman Lusambo and four other Patriotic Front Members of Parliament have been suspended from the National Assembly for 30 days for breaching parliamentary privileges.

The suspension of Mr. Lusambo and four others comes barely 24 hours after the Constitutional Court ruled that nine Patriotic Front PF Members of Parliament whose elections were nullified by the High Court and appealed should remain in parliament

First Deputy Speaker Malungo Chisangano ruled this afternoon that their suspension is in line with the suspension of 30 PF members of parliament who protested against the budget debate on head 101 on November 30th, 2021, thereby disturbing parliamentary proceedings.

Ms Chisangano says the five participated in the protest in the chamber but were excluded in the ruling last week as they were barred from participating in the proceedings of the house until the decision was overturned by the court.

The other parliamentarians who join the 30 suspended last week are members of parliament for; Lubansenshi Kabwe Taulo Chewe, Lunte’s Mutotwe Kafwaya, Kwacha’s Joe Malanji and Nakonde’s Luka Simumba.
