CHIPOLOPOLO CAPTAIN LUBAMBO MUSONDA READY FOR NIGER CLASH

Zambia’s skipper Lubambo Musonda is confident that his team is ready to face Niger in their upcoming 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifier. Speaking during a pre-match press conference in Marrakech, Musonda said that the team is in high spirits and looking forward to the game.

“The team is ready; it is in high spirits. You could see that even when we played our last game that we wanted to win and have been working hard and putting in all the work,” Musonda said.

He added that the team is determined to give their best and win the match. “We are looking forward to tomorrow’s game and we will give our best.”

Musonda also expressed his happiness to be back in full training and available for selection after missing the team’s last game due to an ankle injury. “I was out in the first game recovering from an ankle injury but now I am back in training, and I feel better and now working on getting back stronger in the team. I am looking forward to tomorrow’s game and the rest is for the coach to decide.”

Zambia is currently in first place in Group E with three points, followed by Tanzania with three points, Morocco who are yet to play a match are on zero points Niger with zero points, and Congo Brazzaville with zero point while Niger lost their opening match to Tanzania 1-0, and they will be looking to bounce back against Zambia

The Chipolopolo will face Niger on Tuesday at the Grand Stade Marrakech in a 21:00 hours (Zambian time) kick-off.
