Christmas is for thanking God, not drinking beer at Chicago’s like PF – Mweetwa

CHIEF Government Spokesperson Cornelius Mweetwa says Christmas is not supposed to be celebrated by drinking alcohol in Chicago’s like PF officials do.
And Mweetwa says he has noticed that the members of parliament who were suspended have gained weight, an indication that the economy is not as bad as they claim.
Commenting on former home affairs minister Stephen Kampyongo’s remarks that he was doubtful if citizens would afford rice and chicken on Christmas Day, Mweetwa said only lazy Zambians would not afford it.
“Farmers have money, Kampyongo is just seated in Lusaka with his friend Mundubile and Emmanuel Mwamba calling for press conferences and not working hard. It’s true they have no Christmas to celebrate. Where I am, I am just coming from the village to go and plant fields knowing very well that four, five months from now if it rains well, I will have a good harvest of maize…
