CIRCUMSTANCES LEADING US TO UNFULFILLED PROMISES, Malawian President
Malawian President Lazarous Chakwera says his new dawn government has not failed to fulfill campaign promises but that circumstances beyond control have affected the initial blueprint to do certain things.
Dr. Chakwera has admitted that his new dawn administration could do much more better and he understands people’s anger but that it is not his fault. He has blamed the global affairs.
He has stated that even the decision to increase fuel prices despite promising to keep such low during campaigns, was caused by the tension between Russia and Ukraine. He has however promised that his government will work hard to ensure that it meets the expectations of the people.
And the Malawian President said while people are condemning the move to increase fuel prices, they must also observe what is happening in other African countries. He says everyone is increasing fuel prices because it is a global issue.
He has advised people to be careful with what they allow to occupy their minds adding that, he knows the opposition wants to pollute the people of Malawi by peddling lies that his new dawn administration has failed.
