THE Lusaka High Court has substituted former PF secretary general Davies Mwila from the matter in which he petitioned the State over the decision of the Drug Enforcement Commission to question him and Antonio Mwanza regarding the party’s source of funds during campaigns prior to the August 12, 2021 general elections.

According to an affidavit in support of ex-parte summons for an order to substitute a party and leave to amend court documents, Mwila asked the court to remove him from the
matter as he had relinquished his position as PF secretary general.

“Owing to the fact that I cannot sue in a representative capacity, I crave the indulgence of this court to substitute me with the current acting secretary general of the PF (Nixon Chilangwa) who will prosecute this matter so that justice prevails,” said Mwila.
In an ex-parte order granted to Mwila, judge Charles Kafunda replaced the former with Chilangwa and granted leave to the PF to amend the statement of claim.
