DIPLOMATIC TREATMENT GIVEN TO LUNGU DURING RBs FUNERAL IS A REQUIREMENT – SIMFUKWE

A Nakonde based Governance Activist – Paul Simfukwe has argued that the diplomatic treatment accorded to former president Edger Lungu at the funeral of late fourth president Rupiah Banda is not a favour, but a requirement.

Simfukwe dismisses those comparing Lungu’s courteous treatment to the sidelining of now President Hakainde Hichilema during his time in opposition at the funeral of Zambia’s founding father, Kenneth Kaunda.

He argues that Lungu is a former Head of State and deserves the courtesy accorded to him during the funeral compared to an opposition leader.

But Simfukwe admits to Byta FM News that government has shown maturity by embracing everyone without segregation even of opposition leaders.
