DR. TASILA’S DAUGHTER TESTIFIES IN MOTHER’S MURDER CASE: “MY MOTHER WAS IN A TOXIC RELATIONSHIP”
Daughter of Dr. Tasila Tembo who was allegedly murdered by her boyfriend, Lt Nigel Mwaba, says her mother was in a toxic relationship with the accused before her death and at one time told her that she had ended the affair because of its toxicity.
Lt Mwaba, a Zambia Army officer is in this matter accused of gruesomely murdering Dr. Tasila, who was his girlfriend.
The deceased’s body was found at Nanking Barracks off Leopards Hill Road in a decomposed state.
Dr Tasila’s daughter Sherine Peters yesterday testified before High Court Judge Wilfred Muma that sometime in 2018, her mother introduced Lt Mwaba as a friend.
After some time, the accused moved in to stay with them and was later introduced as her step dad, she further told the court.
However, On October 18, 2020, the witness says her mother wrote her a text message in which she reversed having ended the relationship with Lt Mwaba on grounds that it was extremely toxic.
Trial in the matter continues on March 31, 2022.
