East civil servants ask for car, regalia to campaign for Lungu and Luo
A REPRESENTATIVE of civil servants in Eastern Province has asked the PF to provide him a vehicle and party regalia so he can go flat out to campaign for President Edgar Lungu and his running mate Prof Nkandu Luo.
According to a Breeze FM Radio report, Nathan Zimba, the Provincial Coordinator of Zambia Civil Servants Association (ZACIA) in Eastern province said his grouping had resolved to back President Lungu.
Zimba took advantage of his interaction with Prof Luo during her visit in the Province to communicate his organisation’s endorsement of the ruling party.
Zimba said civil servants in Eastern province were solely behind the PF because it has changed the lives of civil servants.
He Prof Nkandu Luo to provide the association with campaign materials and a vehicle to help with movements as they campaign for the PF on the ground.
Another member of the association who is a teacher by profession echoed Zimba’s sentiments that the PF should not stress because they were already on the ground to win more votes for the PF from civil servants.
In response, Prof Nkandu Luo welcomed the support from ZACIA and urged them to work together for the success of the government.
Professor Luo appealed to the association members to help in stopping the violence going on in the country by condemning those involved in it.
