*ECZ BAN OF CAMPAIGNS IS PF STRATEGY TO SYSTEMATICALLY RIG ELECTIONS*
As UPND , we take strong exception at Electoral Commission of Zambia’s manner of electioneering using President Edgar Lungu’s political directives.
What ECZ ought to know is that Mr Edgar Lungu is an equal competitor in this election campaign.
A day ago ,President Edgar Lungu said if ECZ and Police do not stop violence, Edgar Lungu himself would act.
In our view, Mr. Lungu was inviting ECZ to a Patriotic Front (PF) decision.
I have also read PF Secretary General Davies Mwila’s political blackmail in which he is shedding crocodile tears in a PF statement to hoodwink Zambians that the PF is not happy with the ECZ decision.
And yet, the ECZ decision is a PF scheme.This is what Zambains ought to know.
The PF knows they have already lost elections and would want to stop President Hakainde Hichilema and the UPND from campaigning at all cost.
We are also aware that after the ECZ announcement, Edgar Lungu will be all over the country campaigning in the name of inspecting government projects.
We wish to put it on record that UPND will continue campaigning until the day before the elections.
We also wish to won the ECZ that should they continue implementing PF decisions, UPND will not act accordingly.
UPND will only accept ECZ directives which are in the interest of the people of Zambia and not PF interest.
We also wish to urge the PF to stop abusing the ECZ and mind their campaigns.
As far UPND is concerned , the constitution of Zambia as read together with the Electoral Process Act provide for 90 days of campaigns before the elections.
