OPPOSITION MDC FORFEITS K95-THOUSAND KWACHA TO ELECTORAL BODY

Movement for Democratic Change, (MDC) has clarified that the party will not field a Presidential Candidate despite paying the K95-thousand Kwacha nomination fee.

This follows re-emerging reports showing MDC’s Felix Mutati had paid the presidential nomination fee before joining the UPND Alliance.

But MDC vice president, Leonard Hikaumba has told Byta FM News that MUTATI will not participate and the part has already resolved, bud does not provide further details.

”He won’t take part. We resolved it already,” he briefly responded.

This means the opposition party forfeits the K95-thousand that it paid to the Electoral Commission of Zambia, (ECZ).

The MDC recently joined forces with the UPND Alliance to support the presidency of Hakainde Hichilema.
