FOUR UPND YOUTHS JAILED FOR MALICIOUS DAMAGE

The Mazabuka Magistrates Court has sentenced, United Party for National Development, (UPND) District Acting Youth Chairperson, Bright Hamwenda and three others to seven years for malicious damage.

Hamwenda is in this case jointly charged with Mwashi Sichoongo, Steady Mwiinga and Mayambo Hamakala for maliciously damaging property of Club Lee Love worth over K37-thousand.

Byta FM Staffer reports that Senior Resident Magistrate Ireene Wishimanga delivered her judgement in fully packed Courtroom and found the four guilty as as charged.

They are accused of damaging a Plasma TV, three chairs, three tables and one speaker at Mazabuka’s Club Lee Love all worth K37, 150.
