A state House Official, Patrick Makayo, is among 11 people that have appeared before the Lusaka Magistrates Court facing charges of espionage.
This is in connection with the G0ld scam that happened at the Kenneth Kaunda International Airport.

The Drug Enforcement Commission in collaboration with other Law Enforcement Agencies has formally arrested and charged five Egyptian nationals and six Zambians including a senior police officer for Espionage contrary to section 3 (a) of The State Security Act Cap 111 of the Laws of Zambia.
The suspects are expected to appear in court today.
