IF YOU DID WRONG THINGS, YOU WILL BE PROSECUTED – NALUMANGO
Vice President Mutale Nalumango says the UPND government cannot prosecute anyone as doing so would be inconsistent with their words.
Speaking in Parliament during the question for oral answer session, Ms Nalumango said those insinuating that the New Dawn Administration is arresting whoever has money are just making stories out of their own imaginations.
She said President Hakainde Hichilema wants Zambians to be wealthy, adding that there is no need for people to be persecuted.
She however said those accumulating wealth illegally will have to be prosecuted and convicted in accordance with the law.
“No one is being prosecuted but if you did wrong, I stand here on behalf of government, we want to prosecute you. And in fact if you did wrong, you need to be convicted,” Ms Nalumango said.
