The Graph that Matters
Bank of Zambia recorded that in 2021, the mining sector paid $1.1billion through Bank of Zambia in mining taxes but now pays about $400million.
This serious drop in domestic income is attributable to tax holidays and incentives, low copper prices and low copper production especially at Mopani and KCM.
