PF Finishing Itself:
It’s our job to weaken PF but they’re helping us do that – UPND
By Muzamba Siandizya
UPND chairperson for elections Gary Nkombo says it’s the ruling party’s duty to weaken PF, but argues that the opposition party has been doing that to itself lately due to internal fights.
On Saturday, former president Edgar Lungu announced his return to active politics as PF leader. This was a few days after embattled Matero PF member of parliament Miles Sampa held a “PF extra-ordinary conference” where he was elected as party president.
Commenting on the developments within the PF in an interview, Nkombo, who is also Local Government and Rural Development Minister recalled that in 2014, there was also a leadership battle between Sampa and Lungu, adding that history was only repeating itself.
