KAFUE PLUMBER COMMITS SUICIDE BY DRINKING POISON LIKELY DOOM.
A 45 years old plumber of Shikoswe in Kafue last night around 23:00 committed suicide by drinking an unknown poisonous substance.
Kafue Police Officer In-Charge Jason Lungu confirmed the death of Emmanuel Chewe.
Lungu reported that Chewe who earlier in the day had gone to work in Greenfield returned home around 19:00 and went straight to his bedroom without talking to the people that he found at home.
The local police chief narrated that few hours after Chewe arrived home, his wife sent the daughter to call him for dinner but the child found him lying on the floor with foam on the mouth.
The child rushed back and called the mother who later sought help from the neighbors and when they came, they found him lying with a bottle of strange chemicals smelling which they carried together with him to KGH where he was pronounced dead
The reason for Chewe’s suicide action is yet to be known but likely due to the current collapsing economy and hard time.
The body of the deceased has since been deposited in the Kafue General Hospital mortuary awaiting post mortem.
