KALOMO DISTRICT HEALTH ASSISTANT HR ARRESTED FOR CORRUPTION
The Anti- Corruption Commission in Choma has arrested and charged Modern Muzamba
Pulukuta for corruptly soliciting a K5, 000 from a member of the public as facilitation for
recruitment into the Public Service under the Ministry of Health.
Pulukuta 51, of Macha road Choma, an Assistant Human Resource Management
Officer at Kalomo District Health Office, has been charged with one count of corrupt
practices by public officer contrary to section 19(1) of the Anti-Corruption Act No. 3 of
2012 of the Laws of Zambia.
Particulars of the offence are that Pulukuta on dates unknown but between 1st August,
2020 and 30th September, 2020, in Choma District, Southern Province, did corruptly solicit for K5, 000 gratification and actually received k3, 500 from Venter Tickson Sibulotwe as an inducement or reward in order to facilitate Sibulotwe’s recruitment into the Public Service under the Ministry of Health, a public body.
Pulukuta has since been released on bond and will appear before Court soon.
