KIZZY AND GARY’S ADOPTION BATTLE EXTENDS TO THE BALLOT
…as Moonga will stand as independent in Mazabuka Central.
Former United Party for National Development, (UPND) aspiring adoption candidate for Mazabuka Central, Kizzy Moonga also known as Rock 7 will contest the parliamentary seat as an independent.
Moonga, who initially applied to contest under Opposition UPND and later adopted by the Patriotic Front, (PF) in a mysterious turn of events that he expressed ignorance about.
He is among six aspiring candidates that have paid nominations fee under Mazabuka Central after resigning from the UPND a fortnight ago.
According to the Nominations time table released by Mazabuka District Electoral Officer Shilla Songolo, also seen by Byta FM News Moonga will be first to file in his nominations between 09:00 to 10 :00 hours.
Meanwhile, former Southern Province Minister, Dr. Edify Hamukale of the Patriotic Front (PF) is expected to file in his nominations between 10: 00 and 11: 00 hours followed by Socialist Party’s Thelma Nkoloma.
Incumbent, Gary Nkombo of the UPND will file –
in his between 12:00 hours and 13:00 hour ahead of Andrew Zimba of Movement for Multiparty Democracy (MMD) between 13:00 hours and 14 hours
And Democratic Party ‘s Joseph Zimba will close the filing in of nominations between 14hours and 15hours.
