MAKE CHANGES TO GOVT, MSONI URGES PRESIDENT HAKAINDE HICHILEMA
He writes:-
We urge President HH to effect structural changes on his government.
The need for change of the operating system of government cannot be overemphasized looking at the failure of the UPND government to deliver deliverables as promised to our citizens.
Clearly, the current configuration of the UPND government has failed to deliver deliverables to our people.
This means that President Hichilema must seriously consider restructuring his government as the net effect of the failure to deliver deliverables to our people as promised is having a negative impact on the well being of our citizens.
It is well within the grasp of President Hichilema to try and shake up the structure of government and give it a new lease of life.
Seemingly the UPND government is non responsive and clinically is as good as dead.
The deficit of leadership is evidently in the structural make up of the UPND cabinet and at permanent Secretary level.
The ongoing indiscipline in the foreign service is shocking and is continuing unabated. We think that it is prudent to counsel government to act on the misbehaving envoys bringing shame to our Country.
The UPND government is well over 24 months in government and the team is still lacking the much needed coherence. The uncoordinated policy statements coming from Ministers clearly shows that they’re not reading from the same script.
The need for structural changes to government cannot be over emphasized under the given circumstances.
In a nutshell the true victims of a poorly managed government are the ordinary citizens.
