MOH PAYS TRIBUTE TO LATE DR JOSEPH KABUNGO: 20-YEARS SERVICE TO MINISTRY OF HEALTH
The Ministry of Health pays tribute to the late Dr Joseph Kabungo, Chongwe District Health Director who diligently served until his death on March 29, 2022 in Abuja, Nigeria.
Born in Mufulira Copperbelt Province 50 years ago, Joseph Kabungo joined the Ministry of Health as a Junior Resident Medical Officer at Kitwe Central Hospital in February 2002.
Upon completion of his internship, he was transferred to Siavonga District Health Office as Senior Resident Medical Officer and later rose to head the District as District Health Director.
In 2018, he was reassigned to Chongwe District Health office in the same capacity.
He was based at Chongwe District Health Office up to the time of his demise, recording two decades of uninterrupted service.
Dr. Kabungo has contributed immensely to the Ministry of Health and the communities in which he served.
