As parliament dissolves tomorrow, Governance Activist Wesley Miyanda has predicted more defections that will characterize Zambia’s political scene.
Mr. Miyanda tells Phoenix News that this is due to the favoritism, briberies and alleged corruption that seems to have characterized the adoption process in the country’s major political parties.
He observes that Zambia has seen a number of aspiring candidates that have been mobilizing their parties but have not been adopted thereby causing apprehension.
Mr. Miyanda however states that some adopted candidates sprung out from nowhere and due to their huge financial capacity, have been adopted leaving those that sacrificed their meager resources.
