MUZA, POWER CRUISE TO NEXT ROUND IN CAF COMPETITIONS
FC MUZA’s road to the 2023/24 CAF Confederation Cup has been confirmed following their 3-0 thrashing of Cano Sport Academy of Equatorial Guinea in the first round, second leg match.
The Elegant Dynamites sailed through to the second round 4-1 on aggregate to book a date with Club Sportif Multidisciplinaire Diables Noirs of Congo for a place in the group stages of Africa’s second tier club competition.
FC MUZA will be at home for the first leg on the weekend of 15-17 September before travelling to Brazzaville for the second leg on the weekend of 29 September – 1 October.
Meanwhile, Zambia’s hopes for a 2023/24 CAF Champions League group stage appearance are still alive after Power Dynamos held on to their 1-0 lead against African Stars of Namibia to qualify to their second round 2-2 on aggregate.
The Zambian champions will host second round opponents Simba Sports Club of Tanzania on the weekend of 15-17 September with an away second leg fixture happening after 12 days.
Overall winners of the two-legged tie will qualify to the group stages of the competition.
