NAOMI TETAMASHIMBA TOPS PROVINCIAL PRIMARIES BY LANDSLIDE
UPND Youth Naomi Tetamashimba Khumalo whitewashed her competitors for the Solwezi West adoption primaries with a landslide victory.
Her closest rival Kakwata Olix obtained 9 while Tetamashimba got 18 votes.
Solwezi West Constituency is located in Kalumbila District where Teddy Kasonso was MP for UPND. Kasonso yesterday opted to defect to PF.
According to sources in PF, their assessment is that Kasonso has become unpopular in Solwezi West and knew that his adoption in UPND was far fetched and decided to switch camp in order to get adopted under the Patriotic Front.
However, Naomi Tetamashimba Khumalo is the daughter to late Ben Tetamashimba the once vibrant MMD MP and Minister in the Levy Mwanawasa regime.
