POLICE CONFIRM DEATH OF THREE PEOPLE IN CHOMA ACCIDENT
POLICE Spokesperson, Rae Hamoonga has confirmed the death of three male persons who perished in a fatal road traffic accident along the Great North Road in Choma District.
Hamoonga tells Byta FM Zambia News that the incident happened Friday morning around 01:50 hours when a Hino Ranger vehicle which had 15 passengers on board overturned after a rear right side tire burst.
He narrates that three unidentified male persons died on the spot while eight passengers sustained serious injuries and are currently admitted to Choma General Hospital.
Hamoonga further discloses that the driver, Felon Hazali, 47, is on the run while the bodies of the deceased have been deposited in the mortuary awaiting postmortem.
