Lawyer Milner Katolo

PROBLEMS have continued hitting the largest opposition UPND with the latest being the defection of Solwezi Central aspiring candidate and Lusaka Lawyer Milner Joseph Katolo to the PF.

Among those defecting is UPND former Lusaka Province Chairman Nchimunya Kalubwa.

PF National Chairman Samuel Mukupa recieved the defectors and urged them to consolidate the party by getting more people to vote for President Edgar Chagwa Lungu in August.

Mr. Mukupa said the reason why the party is receiving defectors everyday it’s because of its attractive leadership attributes.

And outgoing Foreign Affairs Minister who is also candidate for Kwacha Constituency, Joe Malanji said that President Lungu is headed for another victory because of the way he has handled the affairs of the nation during times of crisis.

Mr. Malanji revealed that the country was faced with a drought that resulted in the nation experiencing massive loadshadding which President Lungu responded swiftly by constructing a 750 megawatts Kafue Gorge Lower Power Station to supplement the shortfall.

He said a good leader always inspires his followers, one who put together intelligent brains for a common cause.

“We are an attractive party because of having a visionary leader in President Lungu and that’s why accomplished legal minds like Mr. Katolo are joining,” he said.

Mr. Malanji wondered why people from the opposition are bragging that they are rich but have failed to build even a shopping complex in Bwengwa so that people don’t travel long distances to buy groceries and other items.

And former UPND Solwezi Central aspiring candidate Milner Katolo described the welcome in PF as warm, as the UPND is full of frustrations to it’s members.

Mr. Katolo said that the UPND is a corrupt party as they coerced him to bribe them in order for them to adopt him as Solwezi central parliamentary candidate on UPND ticket.

He noted that he vowed not to work with them but to join a progress political party that fosters development and national unity.

Mr. Katolo promised to dismantle the UPND in Solwezi and other areas. – watch zambia
