REFLECTIONS ON CHINA FROM CHINA
The more I learn about China, its leaders and people, the more my respect and admiration for them and their Revolution grows.
I am on a month long private study visit to China. What these people have achieved in such a very short historical time is beyond belief. There’s no doubt on my mind that the Chinese are very intelligent, disciplined and hard working people. And one cannot ignore or play down the role played or being played by their leaders, especially Mao Zedong and his Thought, Deng Xiaoping and his Theory and Xi Jinping and his Thought. And Fidel Castro was very right when he said, “Xi Jinping is one of the strongest and capable revolutionary leaders I have met in my life.”
I am yet to meet Xi but I am his very keen student and I find him a very outstanding revolutionary leader by all historical standards. And I have read and followed many revolutions and revolutionary leaders in history. We can all learn a lot from Xi’s Thought and what the Chinese people are doing.
Humanity can learn more from the Chinese people who have broken their chains from colonialism and imperialist domination and chart their own path of development and democracy. Those who have chained humanity for centuries cannot teach humanity anything and are today choking with envy over China’s unstoppable achievements in all areas of human endeavour.
Despite a massive propaganda campaign to demonise, discredit and slander China, it’s leaders and people the truth is coming out stronger and stronger. A new awareness about China is emerging, replacing ignorance and prejudice. Ignorance is the root of many ills. Knowledge must be the fundamental ally of nations that aspire, despite all their tragedies and problems, to become truly emancipated, to build a better world.
We shouldn’t isolate or allow ourselves to be isolated from China by imperialist schemes built on lies, calumny, slander and military provocation. The fact is, when people carry the same ideals in their hearts, nothing can isolate them. For single memory, a single spirit, a single idea, a single conscience, a single dignity will sustain them all.
