SUN FM/TV SUSPENDS INTENDED INTERVIEW WITH CHISHIMBA KAMBWILI
Copperbelt based sun FM and Television stations have suspended their special interview which was to feature Patriotic Front PF member Chishimba Kambwili.
The station was due to host Mr. Kambwili on Thursday morning on a special interview.
The two sister companies decision to suspended the program with Mr. Kambwili is in line with the Electoral Commission of Zambia ECZ’s decision to suspend him from all campaign activities with immediate effect.
Mr. Kambwili has been suspended for breaching the electoral code of consuct by spreading hate speech against the Tongas.
This week the opposition United Party for National Development UPND petitioned the ECZ over Mr. Kambwili’s continued tribal politics against the Tonga speaking people people of Southern province.
In 2017 Mr. Kambwili while serving as Information and Broadcasting Services Minister while appearing on Zambia’s National Broadcaster the Zambia National Broadcasting Corporation, said Tonga’s were so tribal such that even if Jesus Christ was to contest elections with one of them, Tonga’s would still vote against the son of God remarks which he later apologised for.
