UPND DEMANDS FOR THE RESIGNATION OF DIRECTOR OF PUBLIC PROSECUTION
UPND Lusaka Province Chairperson Obvious Mwaliteta has called on Director of Public Prosecution Lillian Siyuni to immediately resign from her position for frustrating the fight against corruption.
Mr. Mwaliteta says the party will use the republican constitution to remove Ms. Siyuni from the Office if she does not resign on her own accord.
He has accused the DPP of serving the interests of the PF and not those of the new dawn administration.
Mr. Mwaliteta has questioned why the DPP is delaying to give consent to prosecute some high profile cases involving PF officials.
Addressing a media briefing in Lusaka today, Mr. Mwaliteta has also challenged the law enforcement agencies to prosecute those who have been daring them.
Meanwhile, the UPND Lusaka Province Chairperson has also warned Kabushi MP Bowman Lusambo to desist from abusing his new found freedom under the new dawn government saying he will not be spared from the wrath of the UPND.
