Well it’s up to Zambians to make that decision. Most likely it can succeed as we are a chicken memory state. We don’t remember the action of individuals, just like we don’t remember that this guy is a tax thief. Like we never remembered the ECL was a widow’s money thief. We are a citizenry comparable to a mother chicken that had hatched 12 chicken and lost all of the under one tree to a Eagle cause it could not remember. If not you don’t stand a chance even to be a Councillor in your villager bwana.
Mr Mmembe please do not demean the King, , he is above that already and you want to demote him??, get advise before you say some of these things, it would be equally demeaning to bring any other chief into that category because they are chiefs of people from different political affiliations and to give them a government position in a political party is already divisive
You are just showing us that you have run out of ideas, there is nothing new here, those are the same old ideas which Kaunda tried at one time, he had appointed the Litunga and Chitimukulu as MCC members. Actually to appoint a Chief to a government position is a demotion and degradation. It’s like the Litunga that you will now be reporting to M’membe and you are relegated to a position of a Deputy Minister. Provinces without Ministers and Districts without DCs will be a big disaster for the government. That’s confusion and no one can support such old ideas in this era? And when HH wins in 2026, then you start crying Ati HH lied, how can people vote for you with such old ideas? How can the Chief start reporting to his subject? And how do you discipline or reprimand the Chief if he makes a mistake? Imagine the Chief being followed by ACC, DEC. A Chief appearing before PAC, is that not the highest abuse of our Chiefs in Zambia’s history? Anyway, those are pipe dreams and will remain a none starter, we need better and meaningful ideas and not that garbage from the Socialist dust bin.
Kikikikikiki Ine I am imagining Nkhosi yama nkhosi Mpezeni as a provincial Minister for Eastern province kikikikiki. Fred has indeed ran out of ideas in his desperation to appeal to Zambians to buy into his party. There is no credible opposition party offering an alternative govt currently. Highvie Hamududu and Banda are possibilities but they are not selling their party’s ideals to grow their parties.
He hasn’t even asked the Barotse Royal Establishment if they want what he’s talking about. He obviously thinks that they’re too stupid to think for themselves. So he, the estimable, all-wise, all-knowing Fred M’membe will think for them. Don’t be surprised if you start seeing resignations from the Socialist Party.
Mr Fred’s thinking is indeed laughable.Dr Kaunda did apoint The Litunga and Chitimukulu as MCCs “Members of The Central Committees” and there was noise in the country particularly in Western and Northern Provinces.The Lozis and Bembas could not imagine seeing their traditional leaders go and parade themselves at the airports and any other national functions to receive the President like we used to leave our School Munali Boys go to Great East road to wave at the President.Mr Fred must know that he would have to ammend the constitution for him to nominate these traditional leaders or it will be like when President Sata nominated Willie Nsanda and others exceeding the allowable number of parliamentary nomminies of eight as per what the Zambian constitution presc
ribes.The economy too,will not be sustainable because the traditional leaders will carry huge entourage like for my King,the “bambetis ” drum beaters” and other bearers as you may know the “Silimba” xylophone cannot be left behind.The Lozi tradition Mr Fred my elder brother,you know that it’s unique your appointments Sir, will compromise our “sizo” our traditions.When we see our Litunga we tremble,we ululate nilldown and clup to symbolize our loyalty we feel nice and very fantastic so you can imagine what damage you can cause to tradition.So don’t talk about it again lest you loose votes.
