United Party for National Development (UPND) Deputy national youth leader Cindy Kauka has told youths in the country to stand up and join the fight for a better Zambia. The youth leader has charged that its no longer a secret that the Patriotic Front (PF) regime has failed to run the country and change of government is inevitable.
“We are not fighting for Hakainde Hichilema, we are fighting for ourselves. We are the ones who need jobs, we are the ones who need free education. Hakainde Hichilema is just a vehicle we are using to deliver the change we want because he has proven to be disciplined, hardworking and focused especially where financial matters are concerned. This is the man you need when fighting for economic liberation not greedy and selfish individuals who care for no one but themselves. This is our fight and we should not be intimidated, this our country and we have a right to demand for what is right.” said Cindy Kauka
The youth leader who has flagged off a vote protection campaign in central province, yesterday visited three wards in Katuba constituency and encouraged youth structures to remain vigilant as election days draw near. Cindy who is accompanied by other national youth leaders just completed the tour of Luapula and is expected to check on a number of youth structures in central province. Other UPND youth leaders are expected in Eastern, Muchinga, Northern and western provinces respectively in a bid to energize the party structures ahead of the August polls. The Gilbert Liswaniso led youth wing has vowed not to leave any stone unturned in the quest to grab power from the ruling party.
