Minister of Science and Technology Felix Mutati says scammers should count their falling stars as technology will be tightened to stop thieving through the cyber space.
Minister of Science and Technology Felix Mutati said this during the Launch of the Airtel and ABSA Umoyo Funeral Cover Program in Lusaka today.
The Minister says days are numbered for scammers stating that they cannot continue reaping where they did not sow.
He has since observed the need to embrace digital technology as it is a way of making life easier and safe from digital fraud.
And speaking earlier, Pensions and Insurance Authority (PIA) representative Namakau Ntini notes that financial inclusion strategy is aimed at increasing access to insurance as it is one of the pillars in the strategic plan.
She has since called for collaboration among all stake holders adding that digital solutions is gratifying.
Meanwhile, Airtel Zambia Managing Director Manu Sood has urged members of public to take advantage of the new product as it is a sure way of managing grief after a demise of a loved one financially.
Mr. Sood notes that the funeral cover policy is convenient, affordable, easy to use hence making it realible.
