Something is extremely wrong, so early, so deep, and so criminal at ZESCO.
First, it was wholesome dismissals of engineers and senior managers and the subsequent opaque recruitment of senior officers that involved Ministers wives.
Recently management tried to buy its Directors top of the range 4×4 vehicles but the public uproar made management suspend the procurement.
In all this wanton exhibition of careless leadership and insensitivity to the financial state of ZESCO, where is the ZESCO Board? Where is IDC and its Chairperson, President Hakainde Hichilema?

Foreign Companies Hand-picked and Shortlisted to Supply multimillion-dollar Wooden Poles to XESCO
Zesco has shortlisted 10 foreign companies to supply and deliver wooden poles.
In a letter written to the foreign suppliers, ZESCO stated that it has set aside huge funds in its 2022 Budget for the supply and delivery of 9-and-12 metres wooden poles.
The foreign companies handpicked and shortlisted are;
