KATETE DC DIES IN COLLISION WITH TRUCK

Ketete District Commissioner Michael Matebele has died on the spot while two of his passengers sustained serious injuries when his Toyota Mark Two registration number ALK 5626 collided with a Volvo truck registration number AJE 3869/ ALZ 9727T along Great East road at Chongwe weigh-bridge.
According to a statement by Police Spokesperson Rae Hamoonga, the accident happened when the 43 year old District Commissioner failed to keep to his side, hence collided with the oncoming truck.
Mr. Hamoonga says the two passengers namely Sebastian Musakama aged 36 years and Denis Zimba whose age is unknown, sustained serious injuries while the truck driver was not injured.
Mr. Matebele’s body has been deposited at Chongwe District Hospital Mortuary awaiting postmortem while the injured are admitted to the same hospital.-Diamond TV
