B-2 Bombers Obliterate Underground IRGC Headquarters Near Tehran During Daring Pilot Rescue
American airpower just delivered a crushing blow to Iran’s terror masters. While U.S. forces executed a high-risk rescue mission to pull downed fighter pilots out of enemy territory, CENTCOM directed B-2 Spirit stealth bombers to hammer an underground Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps headquarters outside Tehran.
High-level sources confirm the strike, using massive ordnance penetrator bunker-busters, completely obliterated the hardened facility. No safe caves left for the IRGC to plot attacks on America or our allies.
CENTCOM released striking images of Air Force crew chiefs performing pre-flight checks on the B-2s before they launched into Operation Epic Fury, the ongoing campaign that has already dismantled thousands of Iranian military targets since late February.
TRUMP JOKES WITH ARTEMIS II CREW: “I’LL ASK FOR YOUR AUTOGRAPHS”
President Trump reached out to the Artemis II astronauts after their groundbreaking lunar flyby, delivering a classic dose of his signature humor that left the crew grinning despite the communication delay.
In the call, Trump praised the mission as a massive win for America and invited the international crew to the White House.
“When we can, I look forward to seeing you in the Oval Office,” Trump said. “I’ll ask Jared to bring you over and I’ll ask for your autograph, because I don’t really ask for autographs much, but you deserve that.”
He added, “You really are something. Everybody’s talking about this, and I look forward to having you in the Oval Office at the White House. And we will celebrate your incredible achievements and triumphs. This is big. This is really big stuff. The whole world is talking about it.”
The astronauts cracked up at Trump’s playful line about seeking their signatures, a lighthearted moment underscoring America’s renewed push to dominate space exploration.
Neuralink’s Blindsight Breakthrough: Giving Sight to the Blind, Including Those Born Without It.
Elon Musk has laid out a bold vision for Neuralink’s next major product. Blindsight streams synthetic visual signals straight into the brain’s visual cortex, bypassing damaged or missing eyes and optic nerves entirely.
Musk put it plainly: “Our next product is Blindsight which will enable those who have total loss of vision including to have lost their eyes or the optic nerve or maybe have never seen or even blind from birth to be able to see again, initially low resolution but ultimately very high resolution and then in multiple wavelengths, so it could be like Geordi LaForge in Star Trek and you can see in radar, you can see in infrared, ultraviolet, superhuman capabilities, cybernetic enhancement essentially.”
This is not science fiction. Neuralink already earned FDA Breakthrough Device designation for Blindsight back in 2024. Human trials for vision restoration are targeted for late 2025 or 2026, building on the company’s progress with its first implants that help paralyzed patients control computers with their thoughts.
Start with restoring basic sight to people who have never seen the world. Scale up to resolution that beats natural human vision. Add capabilities normal eyes could never match. It’s classic American innovation: tackle a devastating disability head-on, then push the limits of what’s possible.
Critics will wring their hands over risks or “enhancement.” Meanwhile, real people trapped in darkness stand to gain independence and a fuller life. Neuralink is moving fast because the need is urgent and the potential is massive. If it delivers even a fraction of what’s promised, this will rank as one of the great medical advances of our time.
BREAKING: Trump uses slur against Biden at Iran rescue press conference
Trump shocked observers Monday when he used an ableist slur to describe former President Joe Biden, not once but twice, during a White House press conference that was originally called to provide updates on the rescue of two American airmen shot down over Iran last week.
Rather than focusing on the soldiers or the ongoing tensions with Tehran, Trump almost immediately pivoted to boasting about his personal relationship with North Korean dictator Kim Jong Un, citing Kim’s past use of the same slur against Biden as some kind of endorsement. “Kim Jong Un, who I get along with very well, as you know. Do you notice he’s said very nice things about me?” Trump told the packed briefing room, before repeating the slur a second time for emphasis.
The moment was jarring even by Trump standards. A press conference meant to address a genuine national security event became a platform for petty score-settling against a predecessor who is no longer in office and personal bragging about a dictator’s approval rating
This is far from the first time Trump has reached for this kind of language. In 2024, he reportedly deployed the same slur against then-Vice President Kamala Harris at a closed-door Republican donor event. He also used it publicly against Minnesota Governor Tim Walz in a Thanksgiving message on Truth Social, a particularly cruel choice given that Walz has a son with learning disabilities.
Trump returns to this language repeatedly, against political rivals, against a sitting vice president, and now against a former president at an official White House briefing. And hours after the press conference, Trump was at the Easter Egg Roll telling a table of young children about Biden’s autopen, unable to let go of his fixation even in that setting.
The men who were rescued deserved better. The country deserved better. What it got instead was a president who cannot stay on topic, cannot resist a cheap shot, and cannot stop auditioning for the approval of authoritarian leaders
BREAKING: House Democrat moves to impeach Hegseth over Iran war failures
Rep. Yassamin Ansari (D-Ariz.) announced Monday she will introduce articles of impeachment against Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth next week, citing his repeated violations of his constitutional oath and the reckless endangerment of American service members during U.S. military operations in Iran.
Ansari, the freshman class president of House Democrats and an Iranian American herself, did not stop there. She also called on Trump’s Cabinet to invoke the 25th Amendment to remove the president from office, pointing directly to his unhinged Easter Sunday Truth Social post addressed to Iranian leaders that read: “Open the Fuckin’ Strait [of Hormuz], you crazy bastards, or you’ll be living in Hell — JUST WATCH! Praise be to Allah.”
“The 25th Amendment exists for a reason,” Ansari said. “The fate of U.S. troops, the Iranian people, and the very foundation of our global system are at stake.”
Hegseth has become the top target in the Trump Cabinet following the removals of Kristi Noem and Pam Bondi, and polls consistently show him as one of the least popular figures in the administration. The mounting costs of the Iran conflict have only accelerated his public collapse.
While the impeachment push faces steep odds with Republicans controlling Congress, the message from Democrats is loud and clear: Hegseth’s conduct in office has crossed a constitutional line.
Netanyahu Tells Trump: No Ceasefire Now — Crush Iran’s Nuclear Threat First
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu picked up the phone Sunday and delivered a clear message to President Donald Trump: Hold off on any ceasefire with Iran right now. The risks are too high in this grinding war that kicked off with joint U.S.-Israeli strikes earlier this year.
An Israeli official confirmed Netanyahu voiced serious concerns about pausing the fight too soon, even as he congratulated Trump on the daring rescue of a downed American F-15 pilot. Trump didn’t budge on the core demand. He told Netanyahu a truce is possible only if Iran fully caves — handing over every ounce of its enriched uranium stockpile and swearing off all future enrichment forever.
This tough exchange comes as Iran’s mullahs fired back with a so-called “maximalist” 10-point peace plan through mediators. Tehran wants a permanent end to the conflict, full sanctions relief, and other concessions that amount to a wishlist for the regime to regroup. Trump called their response “significant” but flat-out “not good enough,” with his Tuesday deadline looming for reopening the Strait of Hormuz or facing massive new strikes on Iranian infrastructure.
Trump is playing it smart and firm: No weak deals that let the world’s leading state sponsor of terror keep its nuclear breakout capability.
Netanyahu knows the stakes — a premature pause could let Iran rebuild its terror machine and race toward the bomb. America and Israel are aligned on finishing the job: Deny Iran nukes, protect U.S. interests, and avoid repeating the disasters of past half-measures. Real peace comes through strength, not surrender.
France Pulls All Its Gold Home from New York, Banks €13 Billion Profit
France has finished bringing every ounce of its gold reserves back under its own control. The Banque de France sold its final 129 tonnes—about 5 percent of total holdings—stored at the New York Fed and bought an equal amount of modern-standard bars in Europe. All 2,437 tonnes now sit securely in Paris vaults.
The smart timing paid off handsomely. With gold prices at record highs during the 2025-2026 upgrade, the central bank locked in a one-time capital gain of €12.8 billion, nearly €13 billion. That windfall helped swing the bank to an €8.1 billion net profit for 2025 after a loss the year before.
This was no rushed political stunt. It wraps up years of quietly modernizing reserves and removing reliance on foreign storage. In an era of rising global tensions and questions over trust in distant custodians, France chose full sovereign control at home.
Other nations have made similar moves. The message is clear: when it comes to hard assets that back a country’s wealth and independence, self-reliance beats convenience. France just proved it can protect its gold—and profit doing so.
Trump Flips the Script on Iran: ‘Why Shouldn’t We Charge Tolls? We’re the Winner’
President Donald Trump delivered a masterclass in America First straight talk during Monday’s White House press conference on the Iran conflict. When a reporter tried to trap him with a question about ending the war while Iran charges tolls on ships passing through the vital Strait of Hormuz, Trump turned the tables instantly.
“Are you willing to end this conflict with Iran charging tolls for passage through the strait?” the reporter asked.
“Us charging tolls?” Trump shot back. “Iran.” The reporter clarified.
“What about us charging tolls?” Trump replied without missing a beat. “I’d rather do that than let them have them. Why shouldn’t we? We’re the winner. We won, OK? They are militarily defeated.”
Trump made clear the U.S. isn’t about to let a weakened Iran profit from the world’s most critical oil chokepoint. He floated a “concept where we’ll charge tolls” and stressed that any deal must deliver “free traffic of oil and everything else” for America and its allies
This is classic Trump: no more endless wars where the bad guys call the shots and line their pockets. The U.S. has the upper hand after decisive military action, and Trump is determined to use that leverage to protect American interests, keep energy flowing, and ensure Iran pays the real price for its aggression—not the other way around
Iran Strikes Saudi Industrial Hub, Targets Major Petrochemical Giant
Iran has reportedly launched a missile attack on the industrial city of Al Jubail in Saudi Arabia, with the target identified as Saudi Basic Industries Corporation (SABIC), one of the largest petrochemical producers in the world.
SABIC ranks among the global top producers, alongside DuPont, BASF, and Sinopec, raising concerns over potential disruptions to global energy and chemical supply chains.
U.S. DEPLOYS 155 AIRCRAFT IN ONE OF HISTORY’S MOST COMPLEX COMBAT RESCUES INSIDE IRAN
The U.S. military successfully recovered both crew members of an F-15E Strike Eagle shot down over Iran on April 3, 2026, in two separate operations that President Trump called “one of the most daring search and rescue missions in U.S. history.”
The pilot was rescued within hours using 21 aircraft. The weapons systems officer, a Colonel, evaded Iranian capture for over 40 hours in the Zagros Mountains before SEAL Team Six extracted him using a force of 155 aircraft, including 4 bombers, 64 fighters, 48 refueling tankers, and 13 rescue platforms.
The CIA ran a deception campaign to misdirect Iranian search teams, located the officer’s distress beacon, and fed real-time intelligence to the Pentagon. Two U.S. transport aircraft that became stranded during extraction were intentionally destroyed to prevent capture. No American personnel were killed in either operation.
Joint Chiefs Chairman Gen. Dan Caine confirmed the total rescue fleet across both missions reached approximately 176 aircraft.
Defense Secretary Hegseth stated a secure coordination call ran uninterrupted for 45 hours and 56 minutes throughout the mission.

Offset, a U.S. rapper and former member of the hip-hop group Migos, was injured in a shooting near a casino in the state of Florida on Monday evening.
A representative for the artist confirmed that the incident took place outside the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino, a well-known entertainment venue. Offset was taken to hospital, where he is receiving treatment.
According to his spokesperson, he is in stable condition and under close medical supervision.
Police said the shooting occurred shortly after 7:00 p.m. in a valet parking area at the venue. The injured individual sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to Memorial Regional Hospital.
Authorities responded quickly, secured the area, and detained two individuals. An investigation is ongoing, and officials have stated that there is no continuing threat to the public.
BREAKING: COLUMNS OF FLAMES ENGULF TEHRAN AIRPORT AS ISRAEL PUMMELS IRAN
Nighttime strikes hammered targets near Tehran’s Mehrabad Airport with massive explosions lighting up the sky and thick plumes of smoke rising high. Footage captured around 3AM local time shows the regime’s military infrastructure taking direct hits while Iranian aircraft burned on the ground.
President Trump laid down the law with a clear deadline for Tehran to cut a deal and open the Strait of Hormuz or face even tougher consequences. The mullahs are learning the hard way what FAFO really means. If they keep dragging their feet, get ready for bridge and power plant day.
This is what strength looks like. America and Israel are not playing games with a terror-sponsoring regime that threatens the free world. The Islamic Republic ignored warnings and now pays the price in flames. Trump has made it crystal clear: cave or get crushed. No more endless talk. No more American weakness.
The regime’s days of funding proxies and destabilizing the region are numbered. Time’s almost up. Iran better wise up fast before the next wave turns out the lights for good.
President Trump is delivering the peace through strength he promised. America First means no more tolerating threats. The fireworks in Tehran prove it.

Artemis II Crew Sees Never-Before-Seen Side of the Moon: Americans Blast Deeper Into Space Than Apollo Ever Did
Jesse Watters broke it on Fox: NASA’s Artemis II just swung around the dark side of the moon—the far side no humans have ever glimpsed up close like this—for a full 45 minutes of total communications blackout.
No signal from the Deep Space Network. Houston went completely silent as the Orion spacecraft vanished behind the lunar horizon. But contact is restored and the mission is pushing forward strong.
The crew got an eye-popping view of the lunar surface like no other humans before them. They even snapped quick photos with their phones while racing through deep space. Right now, they’re watching a solar eclipse from that rare vantage point.
This is record territory. Artemis II went beyond 250,000 miles from Earth, beating the old Apollo 13 mark from 1970. American grit and engineering just proved we can still reach for the stars when we ditch the endless bureaucracy and focus on real exploration.
Stunning New Moon Video Released from Artemis II Mission
A high-resolution video of the Moon’s cratered surface has gone viral after its release during NASA’s Artemis II crewed lunar flyby
The roughly 30-second clip slowly pans across the rugged terrain, captured in sharp detail with enhanced color processing that reveals mineral differences in shades of red, purple, and blue.
The footage comes from the Orion spacecraft, which launched on April 1, 2026, carrying four astronauts on the first crewed trip around the Moon in over 50 years. A new laser-based optical communications system beamed back 4K video and data at high speeds, far surpassing the radio links used in the Apollo era.
This release highlights steady progress in space exploration technology, delivering clearer images of our nearest neighbor for people on Earth to see.
ZAMBIAN WOMAN FOUND DEAD AT BOYFRIEND’S HOUSE IN BOTSWANA
Kaz Media Zambia | April 6, 2026
Police in Kazungula District have launched investigations into the sudden and unnatural death of a 27-year-old woman who was found dead in Botswana under unclear circumstances.
Southern Province Commanding Officer, Moono Namalongo, confirmed the incident in a statement issued on April 6, 2026, stating that the matter was reported at Kazungula Police Station around 12:03 hours.
The deceased has been identified as Nasilele Mukubi, a resident of Katoya Village in Chief Sekute’s area in Kazungula District. She is believed to have died between the night of April 5 and the early hours of April 6, 2026, in New Stance, Kazungula.
The case was reported by her uncle, Brighton Mwampole, 63, who informed authorities that his niece had passed away at her boyfriend’s residence following a short illness.
According to police reports, Mukubi had travelled to Botswana on April 3, 2026, to visit her boyfriend. Upon arrival, she reportedly complained of a fever. On the night of April 5, the couple went to bed around 20:00 hours, but she was later discovered unresponsive around 05:00 hours the following morning.
The matter was first attended to by Botswana Police, who visited the scene, conducted an inspection, and documented the incident. Preliminary findings suggest that there was no foul play.
The body was later transported to Kasane Hospital, where a medical doctor certified the death. It is currently being kept in the mortuary awaiting a postmortem examination and eventual repatriation to Zambia.
Meanwhile, Zambian police officers from Kazungula also visited the scene and inspected the body, confirming that no visible injuries were found.
Despite early indications pointing to no foul play, authorities have emphasized that investigations remain ongoing to establish the exact cause of death.
FAMILY DEMANDS JUSTICE FOR ZAMBIAN KILLED BY MOB IN TANZANIA
The family of a car salesman, Philip Zimhindo, who was killed by a mob in Tanzania at Ntunduma border, has called on authorities to ensure that those responsible are brought to justice.
Zimhindo was attacked following allegations that he was involved in causing the disappearance of men’s private parts, claims his family has strongly dismissed.
Speaking to PTV2 News, the deceased’s brother, Joe Zimhindo, described Philip as a devout man who had no involvement in any form of witchcraft.
Philip Zimhindo was killed on 1st April 2026 and has since been laid to rest at his family farm in Lusaka’s Makeni area and has left behind a wife and two children.
The family has appealed to relevant authorities to take decisive action and ensure accountability for the mob killing.
CONCEPTOR ZULU’S JUDGEMENT COULD VALIDATE BANDA’S LEADERSHIP TAKEOVER CLAIM AS UPND PRESIDENT
The Whistle Blower has released an archive photo showing that Patrick Tembo Banda, the man at the centre of the UPND leadership wrangle is actually a party insider.
Mr. Banda is seen seated next to the current first lady, Mutinta Hichilema, during an event where Mr. Hakainde Hichilema was being unveiled as party President, taking over from the late Anderson Kambela Mazoka.
Mr. Banda and his colleague Charles Longwe have thrown the ruling party into a leadership dispute claiming that the current office holders are in office illegally as their mandate expired in February, 2026.
Pundits argue that Banda, who has purported to have taken over as interim UPND President, could be on legal firm ground going by the recent Highcourt judgement by Justice Conceptor Chinyanwa Zulu in Miles Sampa case where she ruled that in the absence of the Central Committee, a member of the Party can take over as President.
Banda has since appointed Longwe as Secretary General of the UPND.
UPND CAN’T DECIDE WHO CHALLENGES PRESIDENT HH – KAMPYONGO
…Warns against ‘Manipulated’ 2026 elections.
Lusaka – Monday, 6 April 2026 (Smart Eagles)
Former Home Affairs Minister Stephen Kampyongo has charged that the UPND will not be allowed to decide who will compete against President Hakainde Hichilema in the general elections.
Hon. Kampyongo said this either through their proxies at the Electoral Commission of Zambia or elsewhere.
He said that right-minded people will ensure that the democracy Zambians have chosen for themselves determines who contests for the presidency and other positions.
Hon Kampyongo was reacting to sentiments that there are manoeuvres to introduce regulations that would bar popular opposition candidates from contesting the presidential elections.
Meanwhile, Hon. Kampyongo who is also Tonse Alliance Chairperson for Parliamentary Affairs is concerned that the ruling UPND party has been engaging in lawlessness by ignoring its own rules.
This follows the drama surrounding its general assembly, the alleged expiration of the mandate of its office bearers and the alleged sudden takeover of the party by a member named Patrick Tembo Banda as Acting President.
Hon Kampyongo said it is dangerous to allow people who cannot respect their own rules to lead the nation.
He has reminded the UPND that destroying PF cannot benefit anyone but only creates room for lawlessness.
He said this should not be happening in the ruling party, as it should lead by example.
“We will wait and see how the courts handle this UPND issue. We do not want to celebrate the way they celebrated the Miles Sampa convention issue; we want to see order.
Listening to [Charles ] Longwe [who sued the party over expired mandates] during an appearance on private TV stations, it is worrisome that the ruling party should be the first to engage in lawlessness. The fear is that if you have a ruling party engaging in such lawlessness, what can stop them from ignoring the Republican Constitution?
They might end up extending their stay in office even if their mandate ends on August 13. The issues being raised by those citizens who belong to the UPND must not be ignored because they have implications for how the country is managed,” he said.
…..Any move to bar candidates from 2026 race outside constitution ‘null and void’
Lusaka – Monday, 6 April 2026 (Smart Eagles)
Lunte Member of Parliament Hon. Mutotwe Kafwaya has warned against moves to block some opposition presidential candidates from contesting the 2026 general elections.
Speaking at a media briefing in Lusaka today, Hon Kafwaya said any attempt to block candidates from contesting the presidency outside the Constitution will be invalid
Hon. Kafwaya said Article 3 of the Constitution is clear that any law which contradicts it is null and void.
He said this article applies to all institutions including the Electoral Commission of Zambia, in case they want to introduce new regulations that contradict the Constitution.
Hon. Kafwaya’s comment comes in the wake of concerns that new regulations could be introduced to prevent some candidates from running in presidential elections.
He said Article 100 already outlines who qualifies or can be disqualified from contesting presidential elections.
“Article 100 states that a person is disqualified from being nominated as a candidate for election as President if that person (a) is a public officer; (b) has dual citizenship; (c) is holding or acting in a constitutional office or other public office; (d) is a judge or judicial officer; (e) was removed from public office on grounds of gross misconduct in the immediate preceding five years; (f) has a mental or physical disability that would make the person incapable of performing executive functions; (g) is an undischarged bankrupt; (h) is serving a sentence of imprisonment; or (i) has, in the immediate preceding five years, served a term of imprisonment of at least three years,” he said.
Hon Kafwaya said any eligible Zambian should be allowed to file nominations, including councillors, mayors and Members of Parliament.
He said any efforts to eliminate candidates through new processes will not be accepted by the public because they will protect the Constitution.
Hon Kafwaya has reminded authorities that Zambia remains governed by the Constitution unless it is deliberately overridden.
He said the Zambian people will not accept machinations from the Electoral Commission of Zambia or anywhere else to prevent people such as councillors and MPs from running for President.
He said the Constitution makes clear provisions and these must be adhered to.
“If the ECZ tries to incorporate provisions in its arrangements that are inconsistent with the Constitution, they will be declared invalid to the extent of their inconsistency,” he said.
Mundubile Surges Ahead: Second Major Poll Win Puts Opposition Leader in Pole Position as Zambia’s Presidential Race Enters Final Stretch
AM.06.03.26 LUSAKA
With just 129 days remaining before Zambia’s pivotal 13 August presidential election, the political thermometer is rising, and, once again, Mporokoso MP Brian Mundubile has turned up the heat.
The latest scientific poll, conducted by the Christian Coalition Poll of Zambia, an organization priding itself on “faith, voice, and democracy”, has delivered a decisive victory to Mundubile, placing him comfortably ahead of his rivals and raising eyebrows across the nation.
In this online poll, Mundubile captured 404 votes out of all votes cast, translating to a commanding 51.7% of the electorate sampled, enough to clinch the presidency in a single round if these numbers held on election day.
Trailing behind is Snr Counselor Makebi Zulu with 249 votes, while the incumbent, President Hakainde Hichilema, languishes in third place with only 91 votes—a result that will no doubt cause some consternation in the Presidential Palace on Independence Avenue.
The ever-affable Brother Harry Kalaba, a familiar face in Zambia’s political theatre, finds himself bringing up the rear with 33 votes. He can’t be written off. Daily Revelation Newspaper Now, before we crown Mundubile the next State House tenant, a word of caution: polls are not prophecies.
But let’s not pretend they’re mere crystal ball gazing, either. As any student of political science, myself, I knows that, well-conducted polls have foretold history before.
Remember Kenya’s 2002 election, when polls predicted Mwai Kibaki’s landslide? Or the 2008 U.S. presidential race, where Barack Obama’s polling lead never once faltered?
Even in the UK, Theresa May’s unexpected stumble in 2017 was foreshadowed by a late surge for Labour in the polls. I was in Stockholm then I followed this poll like a rooster with an itch.
So, what gives Mundubile his polling mojo? Is it his relentless campaign, his message of change, or perhaps the fact that he’s spent more time recently in police custody than on the campaign trail? (In Zambia, nothing says “serious contender” quite like a fresh set of handcuffs.)
Or maybe, just maybe, Zambians are ready for a new face at the top—a face that has learned the hard way that politics is a contact sport.
Yet, let’s not ignore the elephant in the polling booth. The numbers tell a story of a fragmented opposition, with calls growing louder for unity. But then again, we are seeing cracks in the ruling party, quite unusual mmh!
As an international relations analyst (and humble author), I’ll risk a word of advice: “Learn from this poll, it’s a war game, see how it can help you.”
Bury the egos, find common ground, and remember—democracy is not a solo act.
Still, I am just Amb. Anthony Mukwita. Who am I to predict the 13 August outcome? Nostradamus?
My crystal ball is as cloudy as a snowball in hell.
But here’s what I do know: Zambia’s heart beats for peace and stability. Whatever path the opposition charts, let it be one that keeps this nation secure. Whoever wants to rule Zambia, remember its about poverty reduction and job creation.
As for Mundubile, perhaps the Spanish have it right: “El que persevera, alcanza.” (He who perseveres, succeeds.)
So, ready, or not, here comes the presidential poll—because, as they say, democracy doesn’t wait. It comes every five years.
COPPERBELT SOCIALIST PARTY STRUCTURES WEAKEN AS SENIOR OFFICIALS RESIGN
The Socialist Party (SP) has reportedly suffered a significant blow to its Copperbelt provincial structures following the resignation of several senior officials.
Those who have stepped down include Provincial Mobilisation Chairperson Gideon Lungu, popularly known as “Bulldozer,” Youth Vice Chairperson Ruth Luapula and Provincial Youth Secretary Christine Mulenga.
According to sources familiar with the developments, the resignations are linked to a confidential communication from the provincial youth wing, which raised concerns over the party’s challenges in effectively mobilising support for its presidential candidate.
The letter is also said to have proposed that the party consider aligning itself with the Tonse Alliance, led by Brian Mundubile, citing perceived opportunities for greater political relevance and impact.
UPND OPENS BATTLE FOR PRESIDENCY: HH CHALLENGERS GIVEN GREEN LIGHT, K100,000 FEE SET By Current Zambia Members of the United Party for National Development (UPND) who wish to challenge party president Hakainde Hichilema in the forthcoming intra-party elections scheduled for April 15 have been invited to submit their nominations within the prescribed period. UPND Election Chairperson, Hon. Mufalali, announced that aspiring candidates must file their nominations between Wednesday and Friday this week.
Hon. Mufalali explained that elections in lower organs of the party are currently underway, forming part of the broader internal electoral process leading to the selection of top leadership.
He further stated that members intending to contest for the position of party president will be required to pay a nomination fee of K100,000. The development signals the beginning of a key democratic process within the ruling party, giving members an opportunity to contest leadership positions at various levels. 📷UPND media
Trump threatens to JAIL a journalist unless he reveals which Trump official leaked the news about the missing pilot!
In yet another combative press conference, Donald Trump vowed to arrest and imprison a reporter unless they revealed who in his administration told the media about the second missing airman.
“We’re looking very hard to find that leaker. And talked about there’s somebody missing. They basically said that we have one and there’s somebody missing. Well, they didn’t know there was somebody missing until this leaker gave the information. So whoever it was, we think we’ll be able to find it out because we’re to go to the media company that released it and we’re going to say, national security, give it up or go to jail.”
“And we know who, and you know who we’re talking about. There’s some things you can’t do because when they did that, all of a sudden…”
This is a terrifying and unprecedented attack on our First Amendment rights and the freedom of the press. But the other implications of it are even more terrifying to consider.
Did they only stage a rescue because the missing airman was revealed to the public? After all, they’re lying about casualty counts, they’re lying about US materiel losses, they’re lying about how much damage our bases have taken. They’ve banned satellite companies from publishing images of the Middle East.
What else are they hiding from us? The urgency of Trump’s threat makes it clear how desperate they are to hide any and all negative information from the public, who have a right to know just what Donald Trump and his band of dangerous morons has gotten our country into and what our fighting men and women are suffering from that decision.
US Delivers Hammer Blow to Iran’s Chiefs: B-2 Bombers Smash Underground IRGC HQ Near Tehran
Fox News has the exclusive: While American forces were executing a daring rescue of a downed airman, CENTCOM commander Admiral Brad Cooper ordered a precision strike on a hardened Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps headquarters buried underground near Tehran.
B-2 Spirit stealth bombers delivered the punch using Massive Ordnance Penetrators—the same devastating bunker-busters that shredded Iran’s nuclear sites at Fordow, Natanz, and Isfahan during last year’s Operation Midnight Hammer. High-level U.S. sources confirmed the details to Fox News correspondent Trey Yingst.
This wasn’t random. It was cold, calculated, and coordinated. The IRGC, Iran’s elite terror network and regime enforcers, just took a direct hit to its command nerve center. No more safe caves for plotting attacks on America, Israel, or our allies.
Admiral Cooper’s leadership is sending a crystal-clear message: The United States will hunt down threats wherever they hide, even as we bring our own people home safely. Precision, power, and resolve—exactly what strong American deterrence looks like.
Iran’s mullahs and their guard dogs are learning the hard way: You attack or threaten us, and the B-2s will answer. This strike keeps the pressure on, degrades their ability to wage war, and protects U.S. interests in a volatile region.
America First means staying strong so we don’t have to fight forever. Well done, CENTCOM. Keep swinging the hammer.
Trump’s Iron Fist: Iran Faces Deadline or Devastation as Weak Ceasefire Talks Collapse
President Trump is done playing games with the mullahs in Tehran. With the Strait of Hormuz still choked off, triggering global energy chaos, he’s set a hard deadline: Tuesday at 8 p.m. Eastern Time. Open the strait fully or watch American strikes turn Iran’s power plants and bridges into rubble. “Power Plant Day and Bridge Day,” he warned. No more extensions, no more excuses.
Behind the scenes, Axios reports frantic last-ditch talks for a pathetic two-phase “deal.” Phase one: a flimsy 45-day ceasefire. Phase two: vague promises of permanent peace. Mediated by Pakistan, Egypt, and Turkey, with text messages flying between Trump’s envoy Steve Witkoff and Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi.
Iran is digging in, refusing to give up its biggest cards upfront—no full reopening of Hormuz, no real concessions on uranium. They claim distrust, whining it could be “another Gaza” where agreements get ignored. Trump isn’t buying it. He’s made clear: if they don’t fold, “we’re blowing up everything over there.”
This isn’t weakness disguised as diplomacy. Trump has already shown resolve with targeted strikes and a daring rescue mission. Iran’s regime, hardened and defiant, thinks it can outlast America. Big mistake.
The world runs on oil flowing through Hormuz. Closing it hurts everyone, but especially the radicals who started this mess. Trump is putting America First: force the strait open, crush Iran’s leverage, and end the threat without endless nation-building.
Iran has one choice left—blink or break. History shows maximum pressure works when leaders have the guts to apply it. Tuesday will reveal if the ayatollahs finally get the message.
Gen. Dan Caine Details Daring Daylight Rescue of Downed American Pilot in Iran
American warriors kept their promise: No one left behind.
Gen. Caine: “On Thursday, 2 April at 10:10 p.m. Eastern Time, 4:40 in the morning local Iran time, the Joint Personnel Recovery Center, which handles the Central Command area of responsibility, declared an isolated personnel recovery event for a U.S. Air Force F-15E Strike Eagle, call sign Dude Four Four, which was down in hostile Iranian territory. The pilot and weapons system officer had both safely ejected and were isolated behind enemy lines.
Following confirmation of active rescue beacons and on the direction of the Secretary and by order of the President, a rescue operation was launched with the stated purpose of bringing both Americans home safely. As the Secretary said, several hours later on the morning after positively locating the front seater, call sign Dude Four Four Alpha, and aware of an aggressive ongoing search by the enemy, a U.S. Central Command plan was approved by the Secretary and the President.
Shortly thereafter, a U.S. Air Force combat search and rescue task force comprised of A-10 Warthogs in their Sandy role— and I’ll describe what that is in a minute—HC-130 Combat King IIs, HH-60 Jolly Green II helicopters, and Air Force special warfare airmen, a package comprised of combat rescue officers and pararescuemen operators, audaciously penetrated enemy territory in broad daylight to find, fix, and recover Dude Four Four Alpha from behind enemy lines.
This was an incredibly dangerous mission, an incredibly dangerous undertaking, but a filled promise made to every American warfighter that you will not be left behind. We will always come find you, and we will always bring you home.
Over the next hours, the search and rescue task force crossed the beach, entered into Iranian airspace, protected by a fighter strike package, and moved into the objective area, all under fire. En route, as some of you have seen on social media, the helicopters took gas off the C-130s and pressed onward and forward up into the objective area.
While this was ongoing and out in front of them, the Sandy flight of A-10s and other remotely piloted aircraft, drones, and other tactical aircraft were violently suppressing and engaging the enemy in a close-in gunfight to keep them away from the front seater and allow the pickup force to get into the objective area.
During this engagement, one of the Sandy aircraft, the one primarily responsible for communicating with the downed pilot, was hit by enemy fire. This pilot continued to fight, continued the mission, and then upon exit, flew his aircraft into another country and determined that the airplane was not landable. This was one of our A-10 Sandy aircraft. The pilot then made the decision to eject over friendly territory and was quickly and safely recovered and is doing fine.
After picking up Dude Four Four Alpha, the HH-60 Jolly Green flight was engaged by every single person in Iran who had a small arms weapon, and one of the aircraft, the trailing aircraft, took several hits. The crew sustained minor injury, and they are going to be fine.
A note for those of you that do not know what a Sandy does: Named after the flight call sign that did this very mission in Vietnam, flying A-1 Skyraiders and A-7 Corsairs, a Sandy has one mission—get to the survivor, bring the rescue force forward, and put themselves between that survivor on the ground and the enemy. They are committed to this. This is what they live for, and this is what they’ve trained for over many, many years.
The A-10 force and the rescue force did a fantastic job rescuing Dude Four Four Alpha. He was recovered Friday afternoon.
As I said, and the nation needs to know this, this was an incredibly brave and courageous mission and a testament to the courage, skill, and tenacity of the joint force and our leaders, and especially a daylight option, having the guts to try means so much to so many.”
US President Donald Trump has warned that Iran could be “taken out in one night,” suggesting military action may be imminent as tensions sharply rise.
The warning comes after Iran rejected a proposed 45-day ceasefire, stating it will only accept a permanent end to the war rather than a temporary pause in fighting.
Tehran says it does not trust short-term agreements and is demanding guarantees that future attacks will not occur.
Trump’s latest remarks signal a widening threat, with reports indicating potential strikes could go beyond military targets and hit broader national infrastructure.
The standoff now places both sides on a collision course, with the next few days seen as critical in determining whether the conflict escalates further or shifts back toward negotiations.
TRUMP VOWS TO HUNT DOWN AND JAIL THE LEAKERS WHO ENDANGERED AMERICAN HEROES IN IRAN RESCUE
President Trump ripped into the traitor who leaked details of the daring rescue of a downed F-15E pilot over Iran, calling it a national security disaster that turned a tough mission into a nightmare.
“God was watching us. Well, it was the Easter we were in an Easter territory, I guess. But God was watching us. It’s amazing because when you look at the machinery it took, they took damage, tells you — first thing I said, is these are unbelievable machines. How they flew back and not even much of a problem. But these two extraordinary rescues, because it was two. And as you probably know, we didn’t talk about the first one for an hour and then somebody leaked something which will hopefully find that leaker.
We’re looking very hard to find that leaker and talked about — there’s somebody missing. They basically said that we have one and there’s somebody missing. Well, they didn’t know there was somebody missing until this leaker gave the information.
So, whoever it is, we think we’ll be able to find it out because we’re going to go to the media company that released it, and we’re going to say national security, give it up or go to jail. And we know who and you know who we’re talking about because some things you can’t do because when they did that, all of a sudden the entire country of Iran knew that there was a pilot that was somewhere on their land that was fighting for his life.”
“And it also made it much more difficult for the pilots and for the people going in to search for him all of a sudden, they know that there’s somebody out there. They see all these planes coming in. It became a much more difficult operation because a leaker leaked that we have one.
We rescued one, but there’s another one out there that we’re trying to get. So, actually, the country, Iran put out a major notice. You all saw it offering a very big award for anybody that captures the pilot. So, in addition to a hostile, very talented, very good, very evil military, we had millions of people trying to get an award. So, when you add that to it. But we have to find that leaker because that’s a sick person, probably didn’t realize the extent of how bad it was.
I can’t imagine that the person did, but we’re going to find out. It’s national security and the person that did the story will go to jail. If he doesn’t say, and that doesn’t last long. And I think everybody would understand it. They put this mission at great risk. They put that man at great risk, and they put the hundreds of people that went in looking for them, because everyone now knows that we’re going in.”
TRUMP DROPS HAMMER ON IRAN: ENTIRE COUNTRY COULD BE TAKEN OUT IN ONE NIGHT AND THAT NIGHT MIGHT BE TOMORROW
In his own words:
“You can’t really do this because you send in 200 men to pick up one, and it’s something that’s usually not attempted as much as you want to attempt. And bad things happen to that one or two. In the case we did too. It might have been attempted before. But we did. We had great talent but got a little luck too, I would say. We were helped by a lot of people. A lot of great people. And it was an honor to be involved with it. It’s very historic. This is a rescue that’s very historic. It’ll go down in the books.
Late Thursday night, an American F-15 fighter jet went deep inside enemy territory in Iran while participating in Operation Epic Fury, where we’re doing unbelievably well — at a level nobody has ever seen before.
The entire country could be taken out in one night, and that night might be tomorrow night. Both members of the crew ejected from the aircraft and landed alive on Iranian soil.
I immediately was asked to make a decision. I ordered the U.S. armed forces to do whatever was necessary to bring our brave warriors back home. A risky decision because we could have ended up with 100 dead as opposed to one or two.”
Trump’s message was crystal clear: America protects its own and stands ready to end threats decisively. No weakness, no games, just strength.
BREAKING: Trump insanely claims that the Iranians like being bombed in his illegal war and that they get “upset” when he isn’t bombing them.
The man who blew up an entire school full of little girls thinks that the parents are grateful…
“How is it taking care of the Iranian people if you’re bombing their energy infrastructure?” a reporter asked Trump.
“Yeah, who are you with? Who are you with?” Trump said, immediately defensive.
“CBS,” said the reporter.
“Well that’s a radical left group of lunatics, if you will,” Trump said.
In reality, CBS News is the furthest thing from a “radical left” outlet and has tacked to the right ever since Paramount Skydance CEO David Ellison installed Bari Weiss as his pro-Trump, pro-Israel ideological czar.
“Let me just tell you, let me just tell you, a very fair question,” Trump continued. “The Iranian people, when they don’t hear bombs go off, they’re upset. They want to hear bombs because they want to be free.”
“And the only reason they’re not out protesting, you know that, is because they were informed that if they protest, like the wrestler and his friends, if they protest they will be shot immediately. And that’s an edict, that’s in writing,” he added. “If they protest, if they go out in the streets, they will be immediately shot.”
At this point, the claim that this war has anything to do with “liberating” the Iranian people is beyond insulting. Trump is carrying out a terrorist bombing campaign, blowing up schools, bridges, and universities because he wants to destabilize the entire country for Israel. He’s threatening to wipe out Iran’s power plants next. This is total war, not a selective bombing campaign designed to weaken the Iranian government.
The reason that people aren’t protesting in the streets is because they don’t want to get torn apart by American bombs. On top of that, nothing unites support behind even the most unpopular domestic government faster than foreign aggression.
If the Iranian people have to choose between a theocratic government that they hate and the American-Israeli coalition that’s murdering their children, they’re going to choose the former every time.

TRUMP THREATENS TO SEND IRAN BACK TO THE STONE AGES — 92 MILLION CIVILIANS AT RISK
U.S. President Donald Trump has issued his most chilling threat yet warning Iran it will be sent “back to the Stone Ages” if it does not reopen the Strait of Hormuz by his Tuesday 8PM deadline.
Trump declared: “If they don’t make a deal and fast, I’m considering blowing everything up and taking over the oil.”
Trump threatened: *”Tuesday will be Power Plant Day, and Bridge Day, all wrapped up in one, in Iran”— targeting the very infrastructure that keeps 92 million Iranian civilians** alive.
Legal analysts have warned that blowing up bridges and power plants en masse would almost certainly violate the laws of war.
Iran’s central military command warned that if civilian targets are hit, *”the next stages of our offensive and retaliatory operations will be much more devastating and widespread.”
Brent crude is already trading above $110 a barrel and experts warn prices may never return to pre-war levels.
BREAKING: Prominent medical specialist Dr. Vin Gupta warns Trump is showing classic, worsening signs of dementia!
Dr. Gupta, the senior medical analyst for MS NOW, laid out how Donald Trump is “exhibiting “all the signs” of dementia just months after flagging a “trend line” suggesting the president’s cognitive abilities are declining.
“Erratic. Can’t finish sentences. Often confused. Illogical train of thought. Word finding difficulties,” Gupta wrote of Trump. “Developing and worsening gradually over time. The President is exhibiting all the signs of dementia,” Gupta wrote.
This all comes in response to Trump’s insane social media threat against Iran on Easter Sunday, which caused critics across the political spectrum to declare that he has “lost it,” “gone insane,” is “utterly unhinged,” etc., with some calling for the 25th amendment posthaste.
This direct and alarming public assessment from Dr. Gupta, a respected pulmonary and critical care physician, comes as Trump’s public behavior grows more troublesome by the day: skipping Easter services, comparing himself to Moses, using profanity and “Praise be to Allah” while negotiating by tweet, and scolding the Supreme Court for not watching his favorite cable show.
When such a credible medical voice is publicly connecting these dots, it validates what we all are thinking and turns speculation into a serious national security and stability concern.
The 25th Amendment exists for precisely this situation. Not that we are fans of who might succeed him, but trusting anyone without all their mental faculties with the nuclear codes is unacceptable on any level.
IRAN TELLS TRUMP: THIS WAR ENDS WHEN WE DECIDE — NOT YOU
Iran has flatly rejected a US-brokered 45-day ceasefire proposal — calling it “illogical” and unacceptable as the war enters its 38th day.
Iranian Army Spokesman Mohammad Akraminia declared: “We can continue the war as long as the political authorities see fit” — adding Iran will fight until it reaches a point where it “will not witness another war.”
Tehran sent a 10-point rejection to Washington through Pakistani intermediaries — demanding reparations, lifting of sanctions, and a permanent end to hostilities — not a temporary pause.
Iran’s conditions include a complete halt to aggression, control over the Strait of Hormuz, war reparations, and sanctions relief — terms the US has not accepted.
Brent crude is trading above $110 a barrel as markets brace for further escalation. Trump has threatened to bomb Iran’s power plants and bridges if the Strait remains closed.
TRUMP REVEALS THE TRUTH: Iranians Are Begging America to Keep Bombing the Brutal Regime
President Donald Trump just dropped a bombshell at the White House that exposes exactly why his tough strikes on Iran are working. Ordinary Iranians are secretly pleading with the U.S. and Israel to hammer the Islamic regime harder, even if it means short-term pain, because they crave freedom from the mullahs’ nightmare rule.
A reporter tried to trap Trump by asking if blowing up infrastructure like power plants would punish regular Iranians instead of the tyrants. Trump didn’t flinch. “They are willing… and it’s suffering. They’ll be willing to suffer in order to have freedom,” he declared.
He backed it up with hard evidence from U.S. intercepts. “The Iranians — we’ve had numerous intercepts: ‘Please keep bombing.’ Bombs are dropping near homes. ‘Please keep bombing. Do it.’” Trump continued, “These people [are] living where the bombs [are] exploding. And when we leave and we’re not hitting those areas, they’re saying ‘please come back, come back.’”
Trump painted the grim reality of life under the regime that the left loves to downplay. He recalled the massive women’s protests where hundreds of thousands took to the streets. “Everybody said, ‘Oh, the regime is gonna come to an end.’ And then all of a sudden — boom, boom — five, six different areas, a woman would go down right between the eyes.” Snipers on rooftops picked them off with precision. “They had five snipers. That’s what it took… Woman shot right between the eyes.”
He didn’t stop there. “Women, men, gays — how about gays for Iran? They kill the gays. They throw them off buildings.” Trump slammed the regime’s thugs for turning a once-great nation into a slaughterhouse. “You know, Iran was a great country if you go back 25 years ago or so… Persian people — they’re incredible, smart, brilliant actually.”
And he called out the clueless Democrats like AOC and her squad. “It’s amazing when I see some stupid people like AOC plus three or that group. They talk about, ‘Oh, freedom for Iran.’ They don’t tell you the real facts.”
Trump made it crystal clear: The Iranian people are done with the violence and want the strikes to finish the job. “They want freedom from Iran.” The message is simple. America is finally standing with the oppressed against the oppressors, and the people on the ground are cheering us on. Regime change can’t come soon enough.
BREAKING: SECURITY RISK! Trump nearly leaks classified intel after admitting he ignored experienced generals’ military advice and endangered troops in Iran pilot rescue mission
In the span of just a few extraordinary minutes at the White House today, Donald Trump nearly leaked classified military intelligence, admitted he overruled his own generals on a mission that could have killed hundreds of Americans, and stopped to compliment a four-star general’s looks.
We wish we could say that this is satire, but this happened today at the White House podium.
Even worse, this all transpired right after Trump vowed to track down the reporter who leaked the story that one of the pilots shot down over Iran had not been initially rescued — a damning revelation about the failures of his vaunted military operation. Rather than address the substance of that failure, Trump’s instinct was pure autocrat: find the leaker, punish the truth-teller.
Then, almost immediately, he nearly became the biggest leaker in the room himself.
When a reporter asked whether all of his military advisers had supported the rescue mission, Trump’s answer was stunning in its candor: “There were people within the military that said this is not a wise…” He paused and then said, “I decided to do it.”
His own generals told him not to do it. He did it anyway. And then he wanted to tell the whole world exactly how many troops he sent in.
“How many men did you send altogether, approximately, for the operation?” Trump asked Joint Chiefs of Staff Chair General Dan Caine — out loud, at a public press conference, on camera. Caine’s response was the desperate intervention of a man watching classified information about to spill onto live television: “I’d love to keep that a secret.”
Trump’s response to being told by the nation’s top military officer that troop numbers should remain classified? “Okay, well, but I will tell you the number. I’ll keep it a secret, but it was hundreds and hundreds of these people.”
He then pivoted — mid-sentence, mid-crisis — to compliment General Caine’s appearance. “Is he central casting?” Trump marveled, apparently unable to get through a discussion about a mission that nearly cost hundreds of American lives without remarking on how cinematic his general looks.
Then came the line that should haunt every American: “Hundreds of people could have been killed. Forget about the equipment, a lot of equipment, nobody cares. Hundreds of people could have been killed.”
Nobody cares about the equipment? The American taxpayers’ money and the military hardware lost over Iran? Nobody cares?
The generals said it wasn’t wise. Trump understood. Trump did it anyway. Hundreds of Americans were put in mortal danger. And when someone told the truth about what went wrong, Trump threatened to destroy them — while nearly spilling classified troop numbers himself at a press conference.
The most frightening thing is that this is the man with the nuclear codes.
Please like and share this if you think the commander in chief shouldn’t need his own general to stop him from leaking classified intel at a press conference.
Doubts grow over NASA’s new mission as global users cry “AI”
Not everyone is convinced by NASA’s latest mission, with scepticism spreading far beyond just a few online voices.
Across social media platforms, global users are questioning the authenticity of images and videos released from the mission, with many claiming the visuals appear AI-generated or heavily edited.
Some users point to what they describe as unusual lighting, overly smooth textures, and unnatural movement in footage as reasons for doubt. Similar claims are circulating widely online, with posts alleging the mission visuals are fake or created using CGI or AI tools.
Despite the growing online debate, there is no credible evidence confirming that the mission content is artificial. The mission itself remains part of ongoing real-world space operations and scientific observation.
Experts warn that the rise of AI technology is making it easier for misinformation to spread, with public trust increasingly challenged as people struggle to distinguish between real and manipulated content.
The situation reflects a broader global trend: even major scientific achievements are now being met with growing digital scepticism.
HILDAH SATA BLASTS MUMBI PHIRI: “KEEP YOUR HANDS OFF THE SATA NAME” — PF WAS BUILT BY SATA, NOT LINGU😳
Hildah Sata has sharply rebuked Mumbi Phiri, warning against what she describes as attempts to exploit the Sata family legacy for political gain.
In a strongly worded statement, Hildah—sister to Zambia’s late 5th president Michael Chilufya Sata—insisted that the Sata name is a national legacy, not a political tool
“The Sata name belongs to the people of Zambia, not to party ambitions,” she said, cautioning that using it for campaign purposes undermines the country’s political history.
She specifically criticized efforts to draw her grandson, Chilufya Sata, into political disputes.
“Chilufya is not a tool for settling scores. It is deeply concerning that a senior political figure would attempt to involve him in partisan battles,” she said.
PF IS NOT A FAMILY PROJECT
Hildah rejected claims that the Patriotic Front is a family-controlled entity, emphasizing that the party was built as a mass movement under Michael Sata.
“When President Sata passed away, the family did not impose leadership. The party opened up to competition—proving PF belongs to the people, not a bloodline,” she stated.
She pointed to the eventual rise of Edgar Lungu as clear evidence that PF has never operated on dynastic succession.
“He did not build PF from the ground—he inherited and led it. The foundation was laid by Michael Sata,” she said.
“LET HIM CHOOSE HIS OWN PATH”
Hildah stressed that Chilufya Sata should be allowed to make independent political decisions, free from pressure or manipulation.
“He is intelligent and capable of thinking for himself. No one should interfere in his choices,” she said, adding that his reported ambition to contest the Mpika seat must be respected.
She warned that dragging him into internal disputes is both unfair and damaging.
A CALL FOR UNITY — NOT INFIGHTING
Raising concern over growing divisions within PF, Hildah cautioned that shifting focus toward personalities rather than founding ideals risks weakening the party.
“PF was built on unity, sacrifice, and a shared vision. If we abandon that, we lose its very soul,” she said.
She urged party members to act responsibly, protect the party’s legacy, and allow younger figures to grow without being weaponized in factional battles.
“WITHOUT SATA, THERE IS NO PF”
Hildah was unequivocal in her closing message:
“Let’s be honest—without Michael Sata, there is no PF. His name and vision are what united the people and gave the party its identity.”
Efforts to reach Mumbi Phiri for comment were unsuccessful.
KAFWAYA, LUNTE MEMBER OF PARLIAMENT, TELLS HH TO CONSIDER A SPECIAL PURPOSE VEHICLE AS UPND TAKEN OVER
By Current Zambia
Hon. Kafwaya, the Lunte Member of Parliament, has advised President HH to start considering a special purpose vehicle, claiming that the UPND has already been taken over by Patrick Tembo Banda.
Speaking during a media briefing this afternoon, Hon. Kafwaya argued that the PF court case took over three years to conclude, and despite that long period, the party was eventually handed over to Miles Sampa. Based on this precedent, he believes the UPND case could also take a long time before the courts reach a final determination.
He explained that, according to the court’s reasoning in the PF matter, Miles Sampa assumed leadership at a time when there was no functioning management committee. Similarly, Kafwaya claims that Patrick Tembo Banda has taken over the UPND at a time when the party’s leadership mandate had expired.
Hon. Kafwaya added that the Tonse Alliance and other stakeholders are now waiting to see how the court will rule on the matter.
Lusaka… April 6, 2026 – The ruling United Party for National Development (UPND) has announced that its presidential position is open for contestation as the party conducts its intra-party elections.
UPND Elections Committee Chairperson, Likando Mufalali, disclosed that any eligible member wishing to contest for the party presidency is free to do so
Speaking during a press briefing, Mr. Mufalali said the process was open and guided by the party constitution, which allows members in good standing to file nominations and participate in the elections.
He explained that all positions, including that of party president, were open to aspiring candidates who meet the requirements.
Mr. Mufalali stated that individuals interested in contesting for the presidency were welcome to submit their nominations through the established channels, emphasizing that the party was committed to a transparent and inclusive electoral process.
He further explained that the elections had already commenced at the grassroots level, with members contesting positions from branch structures upwards to the general assembly, where the party president will ultimately be elected.
Mr. Mufalali stressed that the UPND does not allow shortcuts in its electoral process, noting that all members are required to follow the laid down procedures.
He also urged members to maintain peace and unity throughout the election period, adding that the process was intended to strengthen the party and promote internal democracy.
