FROM BROKE TO BLESSED: ONE ACT OF HONOR CHANGED HIS LIFE
The DRC Minister of Sports just gifted Lumumba a brand new Jetour Dashing SUV 2026 worth over 64 MILLION!
Let that sink in.
This man emptied his ENTIRE bank account just to fly to Morocco. His mission? To stand through the entire AFCON match as a tribute to the legendary Patrice Lumumba—a symbol of dignity, resistance, and African pride.
Congo lost the match. But Lumumba WON at life.
First, the President rewarded him. Now, the Minister of Sports. All because he dared to be DIFFERENT. All because he chose PRINCIPLE over comfort.
While everyone else was sitting, he was STANDING for something bigger than football. And the universe noticed.
This is proof: when you move with PURPOSE and HONOR your ancestors, blessings will chase you down.
Never underestimate the power of doing what’s right, even when it costs you everything.
ISHOWSPEED IN NIGERIA: “THEY’RE BEGGING ME FOR MONEY — THIS NEVER HAPPENED IN OTHER AFRICAN COUNTRIES”
The world’s biggest streamer IShowSpeed just landed in Nigeria, and within MINUTES, people are swarming him… not for photos, not for love, but to BEG for money.
Speed himself said: “I don’t understand what they’re saying.”
Here’s the painful part: He’s been touring Africa for a MONTH—Kenya, South Africa, Ghana, Senegal, Uganda—and this NEVER happened. Not once. Only in Nigeria.
NIGERIA, WE NEED TO TALK.
We are the GIANT of Africa. We have the talent, the hustle, the intelligence, the oil, the creativity. Afrobeats is conquering the world because of US. Nollywood is global because of US. Nigerian excellence is EVERYWHERE.
https://youtu.be/CzJqpeGMrMc?si=cbsirk-Nd62h9rnA
So why are we the ones begging in the streets?
This isn’t about POVERTY it’s about DIGNITY. It’s about how we present ourselves to the world. Other African countries are poor too, but they don’t mob tourists begging for handouts.
WE ARE BETTER THAN THIS.
We are not beggars. We are BUILDERS. We are CREATORS. We are KINGS and QUEENS. But the world will never see that if all they see is us chasing foreigners for money.
Nigeria, let’s protect our image. Let’s protect our pride. Let’s show the world the REAL us—the hardworking, innovative, unstoppable Nigeria.
Breaking News : Pentagon Announces Major Reduction in U.S. Involvement in NATO Advisory Groups, Cutting ~200 Personnel Positions
In a move signaling the Trump administration’s continued push to scale back America’s military footprint in Europe, the Pentagon is planning to significantly reduce U.S. participation across nearly 30 NATO advisory bodies, command elements, and specialized centers. These include intelligence fusion units, special operations commands, maritime operations headquarters, and multiple Centres of Excellence.
The cuts will eliminate approximately 200 U.S. military personnel positions, primarily by allowing them to phase out naturally as current assignments end rather than through immediate withdrawals.
This process is expected to unfold over several years. The reduction affects roughly half of the approximately 400 Americans currently serving in these NATO entities.
The decision comes amid broader tensions in transatlantic relations, including recent diplomatic friction over issues such as Greenland. It follows earlier actions such as the 2025 withdrawal of around 700–1,000 rotational U.S. troops from Romania, leaving roughly 1,000 remaining, and reductions in security assistance funding to Baltic nations under programs like the Baltic Security Initiative.
While the overall U.S. military presence in Europe remains at approximately 80,000 troops, with the majority stationed in Germany, U.S. officials emphasize that this adjustment targets advisory and support roles rather than frontline combat forces. European allies and NATO officials have been notified, with some expressing concerns about the alliance’s long-term cohesion and deterrence posture against potential threats.

Breaking News : Trump Pushes for ‘Decisive’ Military Options Against Iran After Halting Strikes – WSJ Reports
In a stunning escalation amid Iran’s brutal crackdown on nationwide protests, President Donald Trump is reportedly pressing his aides for “decisive” military actions against the Iranian regime, just days after pulling back from authorizing strikes last week.
According to sources familiar with the discussions, Trump has repeatedly emphasized the need for any U.S. response to have a profound and definitive impact, potentially aimed at weakening or even toppling the regime. This comes as U.S. military assets, including fighter jets and carrier strike groups, continue to build up in the region, keeping “all options on the table.”
The move follows Trump’s vocal support for Iranian protesters, where he declared “help is on the way” and criticized Supreme Leader Khamenei, amid reports of thousands killed in the regime’s violent suppression.

Breaking News : Ukraine Defence Minister Says Military Aims to Inflict 50,000 Russian C∆sualties Per Month
Ukraine’s newly appointed Defence Minister Mykhailo Fedorov has stated that the country’s armed forces are seeking to inflict up to 50,000 Russian c∆sualties per month as part of their ongoing military strategy.
Speaking to Ukrainian media, Fedorov said that increasing Russian battlefield losses is intended to place sustained pressure on Moscow and make the continuation of the war increasingly difficult over time. He framed the target as part of a broader approach focused on measurable military outcomes rather than symbolic actions.
The defence minister also emphasized internal accountability within Ukraine’s military structure. According to Fedorov, commanders and officials will be assessed strictly on performance, and those who fail to demonstrate effective results on the battlefield will be replaced.
The remarks come amid continued heavy fighting across multiple fronts, with both Ukraine and Russia reporting significant losses. Ukraine remains reliant on a combination of domestic production, foreign military assistance, and personnel management to sustain long-term operations.
Fedorov’s statement reflects Kyiv’s current focus on attrition as a central element of its war strategy, highlighting the scale and intensity of ongoing combat operations.
🚨 Breaking News : Zelensky Says Ukraine Spent €80 Million on Air Defense Missiles in a Single Day, Warns of Growing Shortages
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has confirmed that Ukraine expended approximately €80 million worth of air-defense missiles in just one day while repelling a large-scale Russian aerial assault.
Speaking publicly after the overnight attack, Zelensky stressed that the cost reflects only the interceptor missiles used by Ukrainian air-defense forces, underlining the extreme financial and logistical strain placed on the country’s defenses.
According to Zelensky, securing both the missiles themselves and the funding required to sustain air-defense operations is becoming increasingly difficult.
He emphasized that while Ukraine continues to intercept a significant number of incoming missiles and drones, the high cost of modern air-defense systems makes long-term sustainability a critical challenge, particularly as Russia maintains the ability to launch mass strikes.
Credible international and Ukrainian media outlets report that the €80 million figure is an estimated procurement cost of the interceptor missiles used during that single night of intense combat, not Ukraine’s total daily military spending.
The amount varies depending on the types of systems deployed, including high-end Western-supplied interceptors, which can cost several million euros per missile.

🚨 Breaking: TRUMP SHOCKS DAVOS, PROMISES PROSECUTIONS OVER RIGGED 2020
In a room full of global elites in Davos, Trump did what nobody else on that stage dares: he said the quiet truth about 2020 out loud.
Not in a rally, not in a podcast, but right to the faces of the global ruling class.
He tied it directly to the war in Ukraine, telling them the invasion “wouldn’t have started” if the 2020 race hadn’t been “rigged. ” Then he dropped the line that made every regime lawyer in Washington sit up straight: “People will soon be prosecuted for what they did. ” Meanwhile, the same crowd that spent years chanting “most secure election in history” is now quietly admitting cracks in the story.
That Georgia 315,000-vote bombshell — which state officials say they “don’t dispute” — suddenly makes Trump’s questions look a lot less like conspiracy, and a lot more like overdue accountability.
The irony is brutal: Biden’s DOJ tried to throw Trump in prison for questioning the election.
Now it’s Trump, on the global stage, calmly promising that the people who bent the rules will finally face the consequences.
And then there was Greenland.
When pressed on whether he’d use force to acquire it, Trump leaned into what he actually does best: deals, leverage, strength without pointless wars — the exact opposite of Biden stumbling America into one disaster after another.

Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba, son of President Yoweri Museveni, has deleted a series of controversial posts in which he issued explicit threats against supporters of the National Unity Platform (NUP) and opposition leader Bobi Wine.
The tweets, shared late Monday night, sparked widespread alarm online before disappearing hours later. As of now, Ugandan authorities have not issued an official statement on the matter.
The incident has renewed concerns over political tensions and online rhetoric ahead of key national processes.
ZAMBIANS WILL VOTE FOR ANY SMALL PARTY BACKED BY PF TO REMOVE UPND – NYIRENDA
LUNDAZI PF MP Brenda Nyirenda says Zambians are so determined to remove the UPND from power that they are willing to vote for any small party that is backed by the former ruling party.
Last week, UPND Deputy Chairperson for Elections Likando Mufalali said his party would introspect on the Chawama by-election loss, acknowledging that some areas may have been underrated.
Commenting on this in an interview, Tuesday, Nyirenda said citizens were ready to vote for any party, as long as it was backed by the PF.
“People are resolved, that’s a fact. Now, how can you know that the people are resolved? We used NCP in Petauke, what happened? It won the election. They (Tonse Alliance) used FDD in (Chawama), how is it that people can easily go and settle for any ka (small) party which is introduced as long as we say okay this is PF backed? It just shows you that the people are resolved to remove them from power. And we lost narrowly in Kawambwa and all those other elections. NCP was coming second but today, you can see that the people are resolved. FDD had never won an election. They were coming from the tail but today, the FDD has won an election. What does that entail? People are resolved, they are just waiting to be told, ‘this way,’ and even if it takes a week to inform them to say this is the road that [will] be taken, UPND is gone,” she said.
“How many days did it take for them (PF) to introduce NCP? NCP had the most difficult symbol ever, a [chair] but the people of Petauke were able to vote on a [chair] meaning that people are just looking for a way out, they are tired of how they have been treated. And now, here is FDD after NCP did its nuisance, people are following. Here, what did NCP come out with? Just because the PF backed FDD, it won. So meaning that the people are ready to put in anything. You know when they were saying that after the death of ECL and how his family has been treated, just tell us anything, give us direction even if it was just a cup, they would have gone for it. So, it is an opportunity for us as opposition to unite. In the actual fact, this is why we shouldn’t even be fighting against ourselves. We should have just united and ensured that we remove the UPND because the ground is ready”.
Meanwhile, Nyirenda said the UPND’s loss in the Chawama by-election was a sign that people were not happy with them.
“They (UPND) should know that [their loss in Chawama by-elections] is a signal that people are not happy with them, that’s all. The general election in fact is what will show them the real picture. The general election, there won’t be anyone slaughtering cows for whoever, it will be just one on one, the aspiring and whoever. Only aspiring candidates will be there. So, there won’t be like support, we get money from here, we are buying cattle. They will get worse results actually. We are yet to see the actual results during the general elections because everyone will be running for their lives, so wait and see,” said Nyirenda.
The opposition Zambia Must Prosper (ZMP) has threatened to withdraw from the Tonse Alliance on Friday, January 23rd, 2026, if the alliance fails to clearly outline the electoral process and criteria for admitting members from the Patriotic Front (PF) into the Edgar Lungu Political Movement ahead of its highly anticipated elective congress.
Speaking at a media briefing, ZMP Party President Kelvin Bwalya Fube expressed disappointment over what he described as a lack of transparency and organizational order, particularly in the admission of new members into the alliance’s Council of Leaders following the expulsion of the Patriotic Front from the alliance.
Mr. Fube criticized what he termed as favoritism toward the Edgar Lungu PF movement, questioning how a pressure group could be allowed to field a candidate at the Tonse Alliance elections with 21 members, while fully registered political parties have reportedly been advised to present about 12 members at the upcoming congress.
He further questioned the authority of former Special Adviser to former President Edgar Lungu, Dr. Chris Zumani Zimba, to admit PF members back into the alliance without a clear roadmap, stating that such a process is neither provided for in the alliance constitution nor formally adopted by its structures.
Mr. Fube warned that failure to address the concerns raised would leave ZMP with no option but to pull out of the Tonse Alliance on Friday, January 23rd, 2026.
AKA, CHIBESAKUNDA ARE SPENT FORCES – MWEETWA … and Kalaba is still in a ‘political nursery’ awaiting lolly pops from me
Chief government spokesperson Cornelius Mweetwa says retired Chief Justice Lombe Chibesakunda, veteran politician Akashambatwa Mbikusita Lewanika (Aka) and the other elders who are convening the opposition to unite behind one candidate against the UPND, are spent forces who should not be taken seriously.
And Mweetwa says he will not respond to Citizens First (CF) leader Harry Kalaba until he has delivered “nursery lollypops” to him.
In an interview yesterday, Mweetwa dismissed the involvement of Chibesakunda, Aka, Dr Mbita Chitala, among others who are being referred to as elders, in trying to unite the opposition against the ruling https://dailyrevelationzambia.com/aka-chibesakunda-are-spent-forces-mweetwa-and-kalaba-is-still-in-a-political-nursery-awaiting-lolly-pops-from-me/
AMB. FRANK MUTUBILA WEIGHS-IN ON ABSENCE OF PRESIDENT HICHILEMA
THE President’s absence from the centre of governance has once again reignited an important national debate on how such periods should be managed and communicated to the public.
Having had the privilege of working closely with all seven Presidents in my capacity as a media professional, I find it difficult to understand why this matter continues to generate uncertainty. Like any other individual, the President is entitled to private time, which is appropriately managed by those responsible for his schedule. However, the President is also the nation’s foremost public figure, the heartbeat of governance. When the President sneezes, the country sneezes.
For this reason, the public deserves regular, accurate and consistent updates on the President’s whereabouts and general well being, including his health where appropriate. Visibility is essential, not as a courtesy but as a necessity of leadership. In the absence of information, speculation thrives, some of it serious and potentially destabilising, others cheap and irresponsible.
It is within this context that the intervention by PS Kawana must be understood. His response was commendable and timely. However, it also exposes a deeper institutional concern, who is the real Chief Government Spokesperson. When multiple voices step into that role, especially during sensitive moments, institutional lines become blurred and public confidence is weakened.
Did it really have to take a live on air phone call to the President to reassure the nation. Such an approach inevitably raises further questions, was the call pre arranged, and what would have happened had the President not responded. This is not how presidential communication should be handled.
From my experience, whether the President is on duty or on holiday, the media should provide structured and predictable updates. This is not unprecedented. During my time covering President Kenneth Kaunda, including his holidays, mostly at Kasaba Bay, the media remained present, visible and informative.
Ultimately, this is not a complex challenge. It is simply a matter of proper communication, institutional clarity and professional discipline in the management of the presidency.
ECZ CLEARS FDD’S BRIGHT NUNDWE: “HE WAS DULY NOMINATED FOR CHAWAMA”
THE Electoral Commission of Zambia (ECZ) says newly elected Chawama FDD MP Bright Nundwe was duly nominated for the by-election.
ECZ Chief Electoral Officer Brown Kasaro says Article 70(1)(c) of the Constitution only requires a candidate contesting a parliamentary election to be a registered voter and does not specify that the candidate must be registered in the constituency they are contesting.
In a video circulating online, UPND Chawama losing candidate Morgan Muunda said Nundwe’s nomination should have been rescinded as he was not a registered voter in the constituency.
“I’m the eligible candidate and I’m the winner of the Chawama parliamentary election and on 15 February, with the people of Chawama, we are going to Parliament…
INVESTIGATIVE ANALYSIS OF THE KILLING OF RONALD PENZA Ronald Penza was one of the most powerful and consequential figures in Zambia’s post-1991 political economy. Born in 1949 in Mbala in Northern Province, Penza rose rapidly after the reintroduction of multiparty politics. In the 1991 parliamentary elections, he stood on the Movement for Multiparty Democracy (MMD) ticket and won the Munali constituency with an overwhelming 82 percent of the vote, defeating Rupiah Banda. This decisive victory immediately marked him as a major political force within the new ruling party.
Following Frederick Chiluba’s election as President in 1991, Penza was appointed Minister of Commerce, Trade and Industry, and in 1993 he was promoted to the critical position of Minister of Finance. In these roles, he became a central architect of Zambia’s economic transformation. Penza was largely responsible for dismantling the socialist, state-controlled economic policies that had defined the Kenneth Kaunda era and replacing them with aggressive market-oriented reforms.
He oversaw one of the most radical privatization programmes on the African continent, including the controversial dismantling and privatization of Zambia Consolidated Copper Mines (ZCCM), the backbone of the national economy.
His influence extended beyond Zambia, and in 1994 he was nominated by the financial magazine Euromoney as the second-best finance minister in the world, an extraordinary recognition that reflected his standing with international financial institutions and donors.
This same record, however, also made Penza politically dangerous. Privatization, especially of ZCCM, created enormous winners and losers and involved vast sums of money, strategic assets, and opaque negotiations.
As Finance Minister, Penza had intimate knowledge of these transactions, donor conditions, and internal government disagreements. By March 1998, after an obscure and poorly explained falling-out with President Chiluba, Penza was dismissed from office.
His removal left him politically exposed but still in possession of sensitive information. In a system where loyalty was prized over independence, a former finance minister with insider knowledge and a reputation for defiance posed a serious threat to entrenched interests.
Penza’s killing on 6 November 1998 must be understood against this background. In the early hours of that Friday morning, his Lusaka home was attacked by a well-coordinated group of assailants.
According to accounts, six men were involved in the operation. Two masked gunmen entered the house after the attackers had overpowered Penza’s security personnel and neutralised his guard dogs, suggesting prior planning and reconnaissance rather than a spontaneous crime.
Penza was shot dead in front of his wife inside his own home. The attackers appeared focused and efficient, and there was no indication of a chaotic or random assault spreading throughout the household.
The official explanation offered by the authorities was that Penza was killed during a robbery. This narrative immediately raised doubts. Despite the violent break-in, no significant property was reported stolen.
In a country where armed robberies are typically motivated by theft, the failure to remove valuables strongly undermined the credibility of the robbery claim. The scale of the operation, involving multiple attackers, neutralised security, and a direct killing of the homeowner, looked excessive for a simple burglary and more consistent with a targeted assassination.
What followed the murder further compromised the search for truth. Within days, police announced that several suspects allegedly linked to the killing had been tracked down and shot dead while resisting arrest.
The deaths of these suspects ensured that there would be no trials, no sworn testimony, and no opportunity for independent scrutiny of the evidence.
Human rights organisations later raised serious concerns that these killings amounted to extrajudicial executions, effectively silencing those who might have revealed who planned the attack and why.
The political context surrounding Penza’s death deepened suspicion. He had recently been sacked from government, had known disagreements with the presidency, and was widely believed to possess damaging information about corruption, privatization deals, and internal power struggles within the ruling elite.
His background as an accountant, businessman, and former owner of an office equipment supply company, Rank Xerox, further reinforced perceptions that he understood financial systems in ways that could embarrass or threaten powerful figures. His death conveniently removed a knowledgeable and potentially destabilising actor from the political landscape.
Equally troubling was the conduct of state institutions after the assassination. There was no independent public inquiry, no transparent inquest that fully examined how the attackers breached security, and no sustained effort to rebuild the case after the suspects were killed. The apparent urgency to close the matter created a lasting impression of either institutional collapse or deliberate concealment.
More than two decades later, Ronald Penza’s murder remains unresolved not because the truth was impossible to uncover, but because the investigative process was fatally compromised. Whether through political pressure, fear, or calculated obstruction, the full story was never allowed to emerge. His death has come to symbolise the risks faced by reformist or independent political figures in systems where power is weakly checked.
In conclusion, while no court has definitively established who killed Ronald Penza or who ordered his death, the official explanation of a random robbery is deeply inadequate.
The coordinated break-in, the targeted nature of the killing, Penza’s political history, and the deeply flawed investigation that followed all point to a crime rooted in political conflict rather than ordinary criminality.
Until a credible and independent inquiry is conducted, Ronald Penza’s assassination will remain not only an unsolved murder, but a stark reminder of the cost of unaccountable power in Zambia’s political history.
IT WOULD BE NECESSARY TO CONSIDER SHUTTING DOWN THE INTERNET DURING VOTING COME AUGUST- Particularly, looking at the Chawama case: spreading falsehood on social media about a poling station which never existed, indirectly disadvantaged the candidate standing on the ruling party (UPND) as the claims interfered with the voting process.
As netizens, we have to understand that for free and fair elections to be achieved the opposition must equally play a part. That said, even the opposition can make elections less free and unfair.
My submission is that, let’s consider shutting shutdown the internet from 5am to 6pm during voting day to allow free and fair elections and avoid unnecessary unrests.
Currently, lawlessness by opposition leaders is merely a campaign strategy. For example, Miles Sampa knew the consequences of what he posted on his socials but he deliberately did so: to influence the voting pattern in CHAWAMA (knowing that most people are now ever on the internet) and subsequently, for attention which he has lost over the years.
Miles influenced an emotional vote in Chawama, on the voting day.
Away from that, Makebi Zulu too knew he needed to notify the police, but he embarrassed the law enforcers who followed his unlawful gathering at his residence. The thing is that these politicians they know the law, but wants relevance.
Imagine a fight starts among supporters and it results into death because law enforcers weren’t there to ensure order? Imagine, supporters from another party came to interfere with their gathering?
Kasonde on the other hand has tried so hard to get himself arrested, but the long arm keeps on ignoring him. Many pages of the opposition are currently spreading a story about HH being sick and that what’s being posted on his page are AI generated, pages like for Lillian Mtambo, the PF official page etc, and these are checks and balances available currently. Nonetheless, the worst HH could do is cutting off his holiday to prove that he’s not sick.
The opposition are trying so hard to condition the president so that he responds to their propagandas. They want relevance, which can only come through exchange of words-which they are very good at.
Regardless, the problem with misinformation is that whenever they are not rubbished, they become the only truth available. So, should the president be responding to every Jim and Jack? No, that’s the duty of the party’s media team and the Ministry of information.
Anyway, what’s your suggestions about shutting down the internet on the voting day (from 5-18hrs)?
Police in Chipata, Eastern Province, have blocked PF presidential hopeful Makebi Zulu and his delegation from proceeding to visit Paramount Chief Mpezeni.
Makebi Zulu and his team were scheduled to pay a courtesy call on the traditional leader when they were abruptly stopped by police officers who claimed that Paramount Chief Mpezeni was not expecting them.
According to eyewitnesses at the scene, an unidentified female police officer approached one of the vehicles in the convoy and informed the delegation that police had received information about their intended visit.
She further stated that the chief was reportedly unavailable to meet the group, prompting police intervention to halt the delegation from continuing with the journey.
The incident has since attracted public attention, with questions being raised regarding the circumstances surrounding the police action.
Meanwhile, Paramount Chief Mpezeni’s house has been surrounded by police in a bid to stop 2026 Presidential candidate Makebi Zulu from meeting the paramount chief
Eastern Province Commissioner of Police Roberson Mweemba is yet to comment on the matter.
God Raises the Lowly: The Political Journey of Brian Mundubile
By Langson Phiri
History repeatedly teaches one powerful lesson: those who are fiercely opposed, unfairly fought, and prematurely written off often return stronger. In politics, resistance can either destroy a leader or quietly prepare them for higher responsibility. The story of Brian Mundubile firmly belongs to the latter.
From the time President Edgar Chagwa Lungu was still alive, Brian Mundubile found himself under sustained attack from within his own party, the Patriotic Front (PF). This was not pressure from the opposition; it was an internal struggle. Some senior party members viewed him with suspicion and discomfort. His ideas, growing influence, and expanding support base were perceived as a threat rather than a contribution to party unity.
As time went on, the resistance intensified. Individuals associated with him real or perceived supporters were systematically sidelined. Many were expelled from the PF, including members of the Central Committee. Party structures that were meant to protect internal democracy were instead used to silence alternative voices.
The objective was clear: isolate him, weaken his base, and suffocate his political momentum before it could fully take shape.
Alongside expulsions came deliberate ill-will. Negative narratives were pushed to damage his image. Some openly wished him political failure, irrelevance, and collapse. Instead of dialogue, there was punishment. Instead of engagement, exclusion. Yet history has never been kind to those who believe that bad wishes can stop destiny. More often, they accelerate it.
What many failed to understand is that political popularity is not always built through comfort and endorsement. Sometimes it is built through suffering, exclusion, and endurance. Every attack on Brian Mundubile amplified his name. Every attempt to erase him made people ask deeper questions. Every injustice against his allies strengthened public sympathy and curiosity.
Leadership is forged in fire. Being fought from within taught him resilience, patience, and strategic discipline. It exposed the dangers of politics driven by fear instead of vision. While others were busy trying to block him, he was being shaped—learning the cost of leadership, the meaning of loyalty, and the value of standing firm under pressure.
The saying remains true: God raises the lowly. When human systems unfairly push someone down, public conscience often lifts them up. The same hands that tried to bury him only planted a seed.
In the end, the paradox is unavoidable: the more you fight him, the more you make him popular. Opposition gave him visibility. Expulsions gave him credibility. Hatred gave him relevance. Resistance gave him momentum.
Political history is full of surprises, but it is rarely kind to those who underestimate perseverance. Brian Mundubile’s journey is a reminder that destiny cannot be expelled from a committee, voted out of a room, or destroyed by bad wishes. Sometimes, the very struggle meant to end a man is what prepares him to lead.
The fact remains: Brian Mundubile’s rise has already been written in the minds of many Zambians. Even in the face of resistance and loss, the people have made up their minds. God raises the lowly—and history is watching.
⬆️ THE DETAIL | How UPND is Reading the Chawama Loss and Recalibrating for August
The United Party for National Development is treating its Chawama by-election loss as a stress test rather than a political collapse, using the outcome to interrogate how the ruling party competes in urban Zambia ahead of 2026.
Speaking on Diamond TV, UPND National Youth Chairman Gilbert Liswaniso describes Chawama as a “pilot project” for Lusaka and Copperbelt constituencies, arguing that incumbency does not automatically translate into votes in densely populated urban areas.
The numbers underpin his argument. Chawama has more than 92,000 registered voters and 111 polling stations. Fewer than 20,000 voters turn out. The opposition alliance, running on the Forum for Democracy and Development ticket but backed by Patriotic Front structures, secures just over 8,000 votes. UPND polls slightly above 6,500. The gap is roughly 1,500 votes. Liswaniso insists the real story is not the margin but the silence of nearly 80,000 registered voters who stay away.
“That is where the election is,” he says. “If you are in government and people do not come out to vote, that is the problem you must confront.”
Liswaniso rejects the idea that the loss reflects rejection of President Hakainde Hichilema. He argues the party must learn to win elections without relying on presidential visibility. “The President cannot be everywhere,” he says. “Party soldiers must carry elections on the ground.”
Operational detail dominates his postmortem. Chawama’s 111 polling stations break down into roughly 500 sections where what he calls “donkey work” happens. Messaging to marketeers, bar workers, and tenants matters more than high-profile visits. He dismisses roadshows as ineffective if they do not convert into votes. “Numbers come first,” he says. “Noise comes later.”
Liswaniso is unusually candid about internal failures. He speaks openly about frustration when ground advice is ignored by senior figures. “I drop tears when I see that what I advised is not followed,” he says.
“Then after losing, people start complaining.”
His sharpest criticism is directed inward. He accuses ministers and appointed officials of failing the party and, by extension, the President. “They are betraying the cause,” Liswaniso says. “Why are we in government if we are not protecting the power?” He argues that poor implementation, lack of consultation with party structures, and a focus on personal gain over political work are costing UPND credibility in urban communities.
The Chawama experience is now shaping UPND’s urban roadmap. Liswaniso names constituencies such as Kanyama, Matero, Mandevu, Munali, Lusaka Central, and Kabwata as priority battlegrounds. With just over 200 days to the general election and fewer than 100 days before Parliament is expected to dissolve, he frames Chawama as an early warning rather than a final verdict.
Opponents argue UPND lacks structures. Liswaniso disputes this, insisting the party fills every polling station structure and that the weakness lies in discipline and message consistency, not organisation.
What emerges from Chawama is a ruling party confronting a new political reality. Power has not eliminated the need for ground politics. Urban voters are harder to mobilise, less sentimental, and more likely to stay home than swing emotionally.
Liswaniso’s intervention suggests UPND now sees its greatest threat not in opposition rallies, but in internal complacency and voter disengagement. Whether this diagnosis produces recovery in 2026 remains the unresolved question.
ALL ZAMBIANS WILL HAVE ACCESS TO CLEAN WATER – KALABA
CITIZENS First (CF) leader Dr Harry Kalaba says a CF government will prioritise universal access to clean water and sanitation, describing safe water as a basic right that remains out of reach for many Zambians.
In an interview yesterday, Dr Kalaba said millions of people across the country continue to live without reliable access to safe water due to aging infrastructure, unreliable energy supply and poor maintenance of treatment facilities.
“Access to clean, safe water should be a basic right for every Zambian, yet across Zambia today, many communities are still forced to live without it,” Dr Kalaba said.
He noted that while demand for water is growing, much of the existing infrastructure is underperforming.
“Around 60 percent of Zambia’s urban water systems operate at only about half their capacity, not because demand is low, but because infrastructure is outdated, energy supply is unreliable, and treatment plants lack adequate maintenance,” he said.
Dr Kalaba added that as a result, many urban residents are forced to rely on unsafe or inconsistent water sources.
“Even today, millions of Zambians rely on wells and intermittent water supply that cannot support everyday life or productive economic activity,” he said.
Responding to questions on how Citizens First plans to address the challenge, Dr Kalaba said the party’s approach would be practical and focused on long-term solutions.
“By expanding and strengthening water reticulation systems, key places such as schools and clinics will have piped water they can rely on,” he said. “This includes upgrading treatment plants, replacing ageing pipes and increasing storage capacity so that supply is consistent rather than intermittent.”
For rural communities, Dr Kalaba said a CF government would invest in locally managed systems powered by renewable energy.
“We will invest in community-managed water systems in rural areas, using solar-powered pumps and piped distribution close to homes to reduce the distance families have to for clean water,” he said.
He further emphasised the importance of collaboration with stakeholders already active in the water sector.
“By strengthening partnerships with experienced organisations, NGOs and private sector operators already delivering clean water projects, we will scale proven solutions and embed communities in planning and maintenance to ensure water systems are sustainably managed at the local level,” Dr Kalaba said.
MAN FOUND BATHING NAKED INSIDE THE UTH MORTUARY APPREHENDED
POLICE in Lusaka are investigating an incident involving a man found bathing naked at the University Teaching Hospitals (UTH)’s mortuary.
The man, who has only been identified as Michael, is believed to be aged between 25 and 30 years.
He was found in the early hours of Tuesday.
A police source quoting an eyewitness said Michael was found bathing inside the mortuary where dead bodies are washed.
Police were immediately alerted, and they apprehended the man and took him to Kabwata Police Station where he is currently detained.
The eyewitness narrated: “At first we were all scared but when we went closer, we discovered that he was so scared, we did not find any officers but we apprehended him and started looking for the officers at the mortuary. Together, we dragged the suspect to the police post at the hospital.”
Zambia Police Service public relations officer Godfrey Chilabi confirmed the incident in an interview.
“The story is that the person has got a mental health condition according to his relatives. This person was found, indeed, bathing where bodies are cleaned in the mortuary. When the relatives were contacted, they went to Kabwata Police Station, where they identified the person as their relative and revealed that he has a mental condition,” Mr Chilabi said.
SURVEY FINDS MEN SPEND UP TO SEVEN HOURS A YEAR USING BATHROOMS TO ESCAPE FROM NOISE, STRESS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
By: Home Boyz Radio
Men spend an average of up to seven hours a year lingering in bathrooms to seek quiet time away from stress and responsibilities, according to a survey commissioned by UK bathroom retailer Pebble Grey.
The poll of 1,000 British men found that many use the bathroom as a private escape, citing solitude, phone use, and brief mental breaks as primary reasons.
The survey found that nearly one-third of men intentionally retreat to the bathroom for alone time, while 23 percent described it as a personal “safe place.” Respondents reported that only one in ten bathroom visits went uninterrupted, with men experiencing an average of 171 interruptions per year, reinforcing the bathroom’s role as one of the few lockable spaces in the home.
Researchers conducting the survey also found that 45 percent of men said finding time to themselves was difficult, and 25 percent said their partner did not fully understand how busy or stressed they felt.
Another 25 percent reported they “wouldn’t know how they’d cope” without these bathroom breaks, highlighting the behavior as a coping mechanism rather than a habit of convenience.
A spokesperson for Pebble Grey said the findings reflect broader pressures of modern life, noting that the bathroom has become a socially acceptable space for brief withdrawal.
“We all need a little time to ourselves to switch off,” the spokesperson said, adding that bathrooms now function as “sanctuaries” for many people. #SunFmTvNews
10 KENYANS DEAD IN UKRAINE – TRICKED INTO RUSSIAN MILITARY, FAMILIES NEVER TOLD
Duncan Chege survived what 10 of his countrymen didn’t. They were promised DRIVER JOBS in Moscow.
Instead, they were forced into the RUSSIAN MILITARY, shipped to Ukraine’s frontlines and KILLED. Their families? Never informed.
President William Samoei Ruto and President Putin WHOSE RESPONSIBILITY IS THIS?
They signed military contracts at GUNPOINT.
They fought for Russia in a war they knew NOTHING about. Chege pretended to be INSANE just to escape the battlefield. That’s how desperate it got.
He’s home now with a message: “No amount of money is worth dying for a war that’s not yours.”
But here’s the REAL question: If Kenya had JOBS for its young men, would they be dying in Russian military uniforms?
When your own government can’t employ you, stranger’s promises start sounding like opportunities.
10 FAMILIES ARE MOURNING IN SILENCE.
10 KENYANS DIED WEARING RUSSIAN MILITARY GEAR.
10 BODIES MAY NEVER COME HOME.
President Ruto unemployment is now a DEATH SENTENCE. Young Kenyans shouldn’t have to choose between poverty at home and dying for Russia’s war. CREATE JOBS or keep losing citizens to foreign battlefields!
AN OPEN LETTER TO HIS EXCELLENCY PRESIDENT HAKAINDE HICHILEMA
Date: 9 January 2026
Mr. President,
I write this letter not out of hatred, tribal animosity, or personal grievance, but out of concern for our country and respect for the office you hold. Zambia deserves honest leadership, sober reflection, and accountability grounded in reality not narratives designed to deflect responsibility.
Mr. President, leadership demands courage: the courage to accept failure, the courage to correct course, and the courage to tell the truth even when it is uncomfortable.
Unfortunately, the growing tendency to associate government failures with alleged tribal hostility particularly claims that certain communities are unloved or targeted does not heal the nation. It divides it.
Zambia is one nation. No tribe is hated. No region is cursed. What citizens are reacting to is not tribe, but performance. Hunger, unemployment, high living costs, debt distress, shrinking civic space, and the failure to pay farmers affect Zambians across all provinces, languages, and ethnic identities.
These are not tribal problems they are governance problems.
The Constitution of Zambia is clear. Under Article 8, national values and principles include democracy, constitutionalism, good governance, transparency, accountability, and national unity. Further, Article 9 obliges those exercising executive authority to be guided by these principles in the formulation and implementation of public policy. Leadership failure, therefore, cannot be excused by political narratives, nor can accountability be replaced with grievance politics no Mr President.
It is deeply troubling to suggest, directly or indirectly, that criticism of leadership amounts to hatred of a tribe. Such a narrative is deceptive and dangerous. It risks misleading well-meaning citizens into believing they are victims when, in truth, they are fellow Zambians equally entitled under the Constitution to demand better governance.
Mr. President, the Tonga people like all Zambians do not need to be shielded by political narratives of hurt or exclusion. They need honest leadership, economic opportunity, national unity, and respect for democratic accountability.
They should not be mobilized emotionally to defend failure. No tribe should ever be used as a political shield. You cannot run a country on propaganda and expect results. You cannot govern through blame and expect progress. Nations move forward when leaders confront reality, accept responsibility, and adjust policy accordingly.
Lies may delay accountability, but they do not create development. History has shown that leaders who refuse to acknowledge failure often deepen it.
Zambia is bigger than any individual, party, or tribe. The Presidency is not a platform for grievance politics, it is a constitutional responsibility to serve all citizens equally and truthfully.
Mr. President, the time has come to soberly face the bitter reality the challenges Zambia faces today cannot be solved through narratives of tribal hurt, imagined enemies, or selective truths. They can only be addressed through humility, honesty, and competent governance, as demanded by our Constitution.
Zambians cannot be held hostage in perpetuity by narratives that do not exist, used merely to mask leadership incompetence. Eventually, the truth will remain long after propaganda fades.
May wisdom guide your leadership, and may Zambia always come first, kanabesa.
Yours faithfully, Simpamba Abraham Together We Can Ichalo Bantu!
United Chemicals Zambia Limited has been ordered by the Economic Financial and Crimes court to pay the Zambia Revenue Authority (ZRA), over K10.7 million for tax evasion.
Details of the case are that between 1st July 2022 and 31st March 2023, in Ndola, the Company, in collusion with others unknown, allegedly submitted false declarations to the Zambia Revenue Authority and misrepresented that several containers of cooking oil were exported from Zambia using different motor vehicles to Choice Services (Sarl) in the Democratic Republic of Congo, thereby violating the provisions of the Customs and Excise Act.
It is also evidenced that the Company submitted falsified returns and statements that included zero-rated sales totalling over K19.1 million, resulting in a loss of government revenue in the form of Value Added Tax amounting to over K10.7 million.
When the matter was presented for plea on 19th January 2026 before Honorable Tamara Kakusa sitting as Economic and Financial Crimes Court Ndola, the accused pleaded guilty to eight (8) Counts of Furnishing False Returns and Statements. The Court convicted and sentenced the convict to a fine of K40,000 to be paid within 14 days from the date of conviction, and warrant of distress will be issued in default.
The convict was further ordered to pay the evaded Value Added Tax of K10.7 million and compensate the State K400,000 for the prosecution expenses incurred which have since been paid.
ZRA encourages all taxpayers to pay their fair share of taxes and remain compliant with tax laws to avoid punitive enforcement measures including prosecution and imprisonment.
We also appeal to members of the public to continue providing information on tax malpractices so that we grow the revenue base and encourage fair competition.
ZRA remains vigilant to curb all forms of economic crimes aimed at denying the country of the much-needed revenue.

Donald Trump’s desire to subsume Greenland into United States territory has set a precedent for other world leaders, a political commentator has said.
Sabrina Haake believes the president’s rhetoric and subsequent actions against Greenland and NATO members will only bolster the likes of Vladimir Putin. Writing in her Substack, Haake suggested the tensions between Trump’s administration and Denmark are empowering Russia’s aims in Ukraine.
She wrote, “Russia is hyperventilating with excitement. Breathlessly describing a scenario in which ‘one NATO member is going to attack another NATO member,’ Russia’s Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov noted earlier this week that, ‘It was hard to imagine before that such a thing could happen.'”
“Lavrov said Trump’s threats against Greenland ‘have upended’ the Western concept of the ‘rule-based global order,’ a concept Putin has long loathed.”
Haake went on to say Trump’s comments on Greenland and disinterest in NATO’s long-standing protection of peace in the Western hemisphere had an immediate impact, not on Greenland, but on Ukraine.
She wrote, “Putin knows that Trump’s threats against Greenland have permanently debunked the west’s criticism of Russia’s aggression in Ukraine. Greenlanders may pay the price for Trump’s insanity in the near future, but Ukrainians are paying for it today.
“By creating a vacuum where the rule of international law and respect for sovereignty once reigned, Trump has invited all rogue actors—not just Putin—to do their worst.”
Haake also suggested the threat against Greenland was a wider threat to Europe and NATO, with decades-old relationships with countries across the globe put at risk by the president’s comments.
She added, “By threatening Greenland, an semi-autonomous territory within the Kingdom of Denmark, Trump is issuing a direct threat against Europe and NATO, deliberately weakening the alliance that fought to defeat Hitler and fascism in WWII. Apparently Trump considers attacks against fascism generally, and attacks against Hitler specifically, too on the nose to let pass.”
GERMANY THREATENS TO BOYCOTT 2026 WORLD CUP OVER TRUMP’S GREENLAND
REMEMB
ER WHEN JULIUS MALEMA SAID THIS? 🇿🇦
Julius Malema called for South Africa to BOYCOTT the 2026 World Cup, and many Africans were AGAINST him! They criticized him, mocked him, said he was being extreme. Now GERMANY – a European powerhouse – is saying the EXACT SAME THING Malema said!
Malema saw this coming. He warned us. And now Europe is following his lead. Maybe it’s time we listened!
German politician Jürgen Hardt just dropped a BOMBSHELL – Germany could boycott the 2026 World Cup in the United States as a “LAST RESORT” to pressure President Trump over his threats to annex Greenland!
This is NOT a joke. A senior CDU foreign policy spokesperson is seriously considering pulling Germany out of the World Cup because of Trump’s aggressive stance on Greenland (which belongs to Denmark).
HERE’S WHAT’S HAPPENING:
Hardt told German newspaper BILD that the boycott would be used “to get Trump to see sense on the Greenland issue.” The U.S., Canada, and Mexico are co-hosting the 2026 World Cup, and now it’s under threat because of political tensions!
A recent poll shows 47% of Germans SUPPORT boycotting the World Cup if the U.S. annexes Greenland, with only 35% opposed. This isn’t just one politician talking – nearly HALF of Germany is ready to skip the tournament!
THINK ABOUT THIS:
– The World Cup has survived world wars, pandemics, and countless conflicts – But Trump’s Greenland obsession might be what breaks it? – This would be the biggest FIFA boycott in modern history
Germany vs USA isn’t supposed to happen OFF the pitch!
Will other European nations follow Germany’s lead? Could the 2026 World Cup turn into a political disaster before it even starts?
EFF Leader Julius Malema Warns Elon Musk’s Starlink Push in South Africa Is Not About Connecting Communities but Could Be a Threat to National Sovereignty and Local Economic Empowerment
EFF President Julius Malema has raised serious concerns about Elon Musk’s plan to bring Starlink satellite internet services to South Africa, arguing that it is not primarily about improving connectivity for ordinary South Africans, but about foreign influence and control over the country’s critical digital infrastructure.
Malema insists that Starlink’s arrival could bypass South African laws designed to protect historically disadvantaged communities, including Black Economic Empowerment (BEE) requirements that ensure foreign companies contribute meaningfully to local ownership and economic transformation.
He warns that failing to enforce these laws could allow foreign entities to dominate key technological and communications networks, posing risks to national security and sovereignty.
https://youtu.be/UmfWNUyA5oQ?si=OKQpf20PHQ_14ypt
The EFF leader framed the issue as a broader struggle to protect South Africa’s independence and transformation agenda, warning that powerful foreign tech companies cannot be allowed to influence or undermine the country’s political and economic systems.
Malema emphasized that technology and internet services should serve the needs of South Africans, especially in rural and underserved areas, rather than acting as a tool for external control or economic exploitation.
While supporters of Starlink argue that satellite internet could provide faster, more reliable connectivity for remote areas and help bridge the country’s digital divide, Malema maintains that these benefits cannot come at the expense of South Africa’s laws, local ownership, and national security.
He calls on the government to resist foreign pressure and ensure that any new technology entering the country aligns with the nation’s development goals and safeguards the rights of South Africans.
South African Influencer Couple Shock Fans with Public Breakup Amid Explosive Paternity Controversy, Emotional TikTok Posts, and Viral Roadside Videos
South African social media stars Athini “Bash” Bashe and Ntandokazi “Mzamo” Mzamo have officially ended their relationship, sending shockwaves through their followers and fans across TikTok and Instagram. The couple announced their split on January 10, with Bash posting that he was “not okay”, though he offered no further details about the reasons behind their breakup.
Almost immediately, rumors began circulating online suggesting that Mzamo’s reported four-month pregnancy might not be Bash’s child. These claims intensified after videos emerged of a man alleged to be Bash visibly distressed and crying on a roadside in Bryanston, prompting bystanders to call paramedics. The clips quickly went viral, sparking intense discussion and sympathy from fans, while also raising questions about privacy and mental health in the public eye.
Following the breakup and the circulation of these emotional videos, Bash deactivated all of his social media accounts, removing himself from the intense public scrutiny. Mzamo, on the other hand, has remained silent, choosing not to comment publicly about the rumors or the breakup.
Observers note that this story is part of a growing trend of high-profile South African influencer controversies, where personal relationships, scandals, and emotional breakdowns become viral content online. Many fans have expressed concern for both individuals’ well-being, emphasizing the toll that public scrutiny can take on personal lives.
The couple’s breakup highlights not just the end of a high-profile relationship, but also the broader impact of social media fame, online gossip, and the pressures influencers face when private matters are thrust into the spotlight.
KENYAN MAN SHARES HORROR STORY OF BEING FORCED TO FIGHT IN UKRAINE WAR
A Kenyan man, Duncan Chege, has shared his harrowing experience of being laced into the Russia-Ukraine war after being promised a well-paying job as a driver in Moscow. Chege was among 11 Kenyans who traveled to Russia, only to be taken to a military camp and forced to sign contracts to fight in Ukraine, Kenyan media reported .
Within a month, 10 of his fellow Kenyans were killed in the war, and their families were never informed. Chege survived by pretending to have gone mad and was eventually evacuated from the battlefield.
He escaped with the help of the Kenyan Embassy and returned home with a warning: “No amount of promised money is worth being deceived into a conflict you may never come back from.”

🚨 “I WAS TRICKED, FILMED AND EXPOSED” – 20-YEAR-OLD SOUTH AFRICAN WOMAN BREAKS HER SILENCE ON ALLEGED FAKE ‘AFRICAN AUDITION’ SCAM, ACCUSES ORGANISERS OF LURING WOMEN WITH JOB PROMISES THEN RECORDING INTIMATE CONTENT FOR ONLINE PROFIT 🚨
A 20-year-old South African woman has finally come forward to confirm that she is the person seen in the controversial video linked to a so-called casting platform known as “African Audition,” allegedly run by a man called Ivo Suzee.
According to her statement, she was approached with what looked like a legitimate job or modelling opportunity. She says she was told it was an audition that could open doors in the entertainment industry. Like many young people struggling to find work, she believed it was a real chance to change her life.
She now claims the “audition” was a trap.
The young woman says she was never properly informed that intimate content would be recorded or distributed online, and she insists she never signed any legal contract giving consent. After the video began circulating on adult platforms and social media, her life changed overnight. She says her dignity, privacy and future were put at risk.
In her message to the public, she pleaded with people to stop sharing the footage, warning that every repost causes further humiliation and emotional damage. She says what happened to her should be treated as exploitation, not entertainment.
Law enforcement sources have indicated that such operations may violate South Africa’s cybercrime laws and sexual offences legislation, especially if consent was unclear, manipulated or obtained under false pretences. Recording and distributing explicit material without lawful agreement can carry serious criminal consequences.
However, public opinion is sharply divided.
Some people online say she is a victim of a cruel system that preys on poverty, unemployment and the dreams of young women. They argue that fake agencies and “audition scams” deliberately target vulnerable girls, promising fame, money or modelling work, only to turn them into content for profit.
Others are sceptical. They point to the full-length footage, claiming she appeared to agree during the recording. Some also bring up her old social media posts where she spoke openly about adult content, arguing that this weakens her claim. These critics say the truth will only be known once courts and investigators examine all the evidence.
So far, no official arrests have been confirmed, but the case has triggered a national conversation about:
• Fake casting agencies and online recruitment scams • How consent can be manipulated through deception • The dangers young people face when chasing opportunities online • The responsibility of viewers who share explicit videos
This story is no longer just about one woman. It is about how easily dreams can be used as bait, how quickly lives can be exposed on the internet, and how thin the line is between “choice” and “exploitation” when power, money and desperation collide.
The big question South Africans are now asking:
Is this a case of a young woman being trapped and used by a fake audition syndicate… or Is it a situation where consent is being disputed after the damage is already done?
One thing is certain: the internet never forgets, and the truth – whatever it may be – will eventually come out.
Yet another of deceased wealth manager and accused sex trafficker Jeffrey Epstein’s victims has come forward to slam President Donald Trump’s Justice Department for refusing to comply with the legal timeline for releasing all of the FBI’s files on the case.
Epstein, who was accused of running an extensive operation to traffic underage girls, has been a massive focal point of conspiracy theories on both the left and right for years. Now, the Trump administration, after uproar from his own base and a massive bipartisan vote in Congress, has reluctantly agreed to release files in the case.
So far, however, only a small fraction of the files have been released, despite the deadline to release them all passing last month, and many of the files that have been released appear to dance around Trump’s own friendship with Epstein.
In her letter to a pair of federal judges in New York urging them to appoint a special master to force the release of the remaining files, Haley Robson laid bare her pain and the indignity of the situation.
“As survivors, this failure is not merely procedural — it is deeply personal,” she wrote. “Continued noncompliance perpetuates the same secrecy that allowed these crimes to continue unchecked for years. It reinforces the painful and all too familiar message that while the law governs ordinary people, it does not govern the government and the wealthy, powerful individuals whose actions enabled widespread abuse. We do not seek vengeance. We seek accountability, transparency, and equal application of the law, just like our Congress promised us through the Act.”
“Each survivor has already paid a tremendous price,” she continued. “Coming forward has required extraordinary courage, exposing ourselves to public scrutiny, retaliation, and lifelong emotional consequences. We did so with belief in our government and trusting that when Congress passed this law, the Executive Branch would honor it. Instead, we are met with continued delay, silence, and ongoing protection of identities that should no longer remain hidden.”
“The way that your Courts have correctly enforced the Crime Victims’ Rights Act is something that we appreciate,” Robson added. “We now respectfully ask the Courts to intervene and require the Department of Justice to comply with the Epstein Files Transparency Act as enacted by Congress. The judiciary serves as a vital safeguard to ensure that no branch of government is above the law. When statutory mandates are ignored — particularly those intended to bring justice and transparency to victims — the integrity of our legal system is placed at risk.”
TRUMP MOVES TO DISMANTLE THE UN: AFRICA’S SEAT AT THE GLOBAL TABLE UNDER THREAT
President Donald J. Trump has declared: “The UN just hasn’t been very helpful. I’m a big fan of the UN, but it has never lived up to its potential.”
Now he says his “Board of Peace” “might” REPLACE the United Nations the very organization that has given Africa and developing nations a voice in global affairs for nearly 80 years.
WHAT THIS MEANS FOR AFRICA :
➡️ The UN where Africa has 54 votes could be replaced by Trump’s exclusive club
➡️ Membership costs $1 BILLION – pay to play global politics
➡️ Trump alone decides who gets a seat at the table
➡️ Putin invited, but which African leaders will be chosen?
For decades, the UN has been Africa’s platform to demand justice, climate action, and fair treatment on the world stage. Now one man wants to replace it with his own creation where HE picks the members, HE sets the rules, and HE remains in charge even after leaving office.
The question every African must ask: Who will speak for us in Trump’s new world order?
Police in Portugal are hunting a vandal who set light to a Cristiano Ronaldo statue on the footballer’s home island of Madeira and shared the video online.
The man filmed himself pouring a flammable liquid over the bronze replica of the former Manchester United and Real Madrid striker before putting a lighter to it.
And as the flames took hold of the sculpture, he went on to perform a crazy dance to rap music blaring out on a speaker he had brought along for the act
He posted the video on his Instagram where he identifies himself with the username zaino.tcc.filipe and describes himself as a ‘person, freestyler and local man.’
He captioned the footage of his stunt, writing: “This is God’s last warning.”
The statute, famous for its large bulge in the trouser department, was moved to its current spot by the CR7 Museum nearly a decade ago after the attack on it by alleged Messi fans.
Cristiano, now playing for Saudi Pro league club Al-Nassr, returned to Madeira to pose in front of the bronze effigy with his family by his side for the end of the unveiling at the end of 2014.
He said at the time: ‘This is a very special moment, to have a statue of me.’
A CR7 Museum spokesman said earlier on Tuesday the matter was being handled by police, adding: ‘We have nothing further to add at this stage.’
A source from the PSP police force in Funchal told local press: ‘The author of this crime has been identified.
‘He is known here because of similar earlier situations.’
Instagram user 'zaino.tcc.filipe' filmed himself setting fire to Cristiano Ronaldo's statue outside the CR7 Museum in Funchal.

Lucas Hernandez and his wife are facing serious allegations of human trafficking and illegal employment.
Accusations of human trafficking and illegal employment have surfaced against French footballer Lucas Hernández and his wife following an investigation by Paris Match.
The report claims a Colombian family was exploited by the couple over more than a year, from September 2024 to November 2025.
The family allegedly included a husband and wife, their two adult children, and the grandmother, all of whom were reportedly brought to France under promises of legal work and residency.
According to the investigation, the family was made to work without formal contracts and was paid far less than required under French labour law.
They were also reportedly forced to work long hours and were not given proper rest or compensation.
One of the victims told Paris Match: “We were exploited and humiliated, paid well below what we were owed. They exploit immigrants and their families, promise legal status that never comes, and treat us like slaves.”
She added that immigrants were lured with false hopes of legal status and then treated “like slaves.” The report says the family lived under constant pressure and fear of deportation.
So far, no official charges have been announced. Authorities are reportedly reviewing the allegations.
An Accra-based businessman has expressed shock after a woman he financially supported allegedly used the startup funds he gave her to marry another man.
The story surfaced on the anonymous social media platform Jodel, where the man shared his experience.

He said the woman began operating the business and made steady progress. In the first year, the business reportedly generated a profit of GH¢13,000.
The man said he took only GH¢400 and allowed her to keep the rest to grow the business. After that, communication between them stopped.
He claimed the woman stopped answering his calls and later shut down the business due to lack of funds.
She allegedly told his mother that she had misused the money but did not explain how. Concerned, he asked his brother to check on her
That was when he reportedly discovered that she had used the business money and profits to marry her boyfriend.
According to the post, the woman became pregnant for the man, who is said to be unemployed. She allegedly used the remaining funds to organise the marriage.
US President Donald Trump has threatened to blow up the entire country of Iran when asked about the threats to his life airing on Iranian state television.
Trump disclosed this to NewNation’s Katie Pavlich after the new 10 p.m. show host asked the president about Iran’s assassination threats.
Iranian state television aired clips of the July 13, 2024, Butler, Pennsylvania, rally in which Trump was nearly k!lled by an assassin’s bullet, with the words, ‘this time it won’t miss.’
‘Well, they shouldn’t be doing it, but I’ve left notification,’ the president told Pavlich. ‘Anything ever happens, we’re going to blow the – the whole country is going to get blown up.’
Trump pointed a finger at his predecessor, President Joe Biden, suggesting that Biden should have been more forceful against the Iranians when they continued to threaten Trump and other Trump administration figures’ lives.
The Islamic regime stayed angry at the Trump White House after the January 2020 k!lling of Qasem Soleimani, a top general in the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps.
But a president has to defend a president like, if I were here and they were making that threat to somebody even, not even a president, but somebody, like they did with me, I would absolutely hit them so hard,’ the president continued. ‘But I have very firm instructions – anything happens, they’re going to wipe them off the face of this earth.’
Last week, Trump appeared to be poised to launch a military strike against the regime, who have k!lled thousands of civilians protesting against the Islamic government.
On Sunday, an Iranian official told Reuters that the de@th toll had increased to at least 5,000 people.
Iranians have been protesting since last month over a faltering economy.
On January 2, Trump said the U.S. was ‘locked and loaded’ and ready to strike Iran if the killings continued.
But on Wednesday, the president suggested that he believed the regime’s line that they had stopped killing civilians.
‘We’ve been told that the killing in Iran is stopping, and it’s stopped and stopping, and there’s no plan for executions or an execution,’ Trump told reporters gathered in the Oval Office for a bill signing event that would allow whole milk into public school lunch rooms.
The president added that if he finds out that’s not the case, he would be ‘very upset.’
During his hour and 45-minute-long press conference on Tuesday, marking his one-year in office for a second time, the president was asked if a military option remained on the table.
Trump replied that ‘they were going to hang 837 people.’
‘We let them know if that happens, that will be a very bad day for them, and they decided not to do it. They didn’t hang the people. I can’t tell you what’s going to happen in the future, but supposedly they’re taking that off the table,’ he said.
‘So we’re just gonna have to see what happens with Iran,’ Trump said.
